Here's a real update with a nice picture, rather than a phone one   I did his shadowed left side in Nightshade Purple (love this color for black areas), with highlights of Drow Nipple Pink a

Did some more work. Trying to get the mottled look without it being too patchy, more blended

Spent almost all of today working on him

i do wish i could get higher quality wood though, not sure waht to do about the lines in this one

Take some plasticard and glue it to the edges or wherever you don't want to see the wood grain. You can then prime and paint it whatever color/design you want. This is a way to make cheap plinths look like expensive ones.

It doesn't have to be a big jungle backdrop.

 

How about creating a small scene?

it's a water Buffalo.

You could paint the back in a sky blue and create part of a drinking pool on the bottom.

Using a little sand at the bottom of the backdrop leading to the pool.

That way the backdrop won distract too much and you would have a very cool diorama style bust.

 

Anyway, whatever you decide itś an awesome paintjob.

I have seen some of these done on Putty and Paint, yours should be on there as well, it is awesome.

Makes me want to try one at some point.
