Did you use a roller on these?

I'm going to venture a guess at Green Stuff World's Egyptian roller, since I could have sworn Glitterwolf owns that one...

EDIT: Either that or it's super high tech very much so classified WOOF tech.  Or Air Force personnel are just that awesome.

Yes, I pressed the Egyptian Rollerpin from Greenstuffworl on the foam and it works.

After talking to the creator and weighing my options, I failed my will save.

Changed my pledge to the Megadeal and an additional 20 for the Liche Lord in Chariot.

Meaning I will get it ALL and all the stretch goals that will be added to either the Mummy Army or the Elven Battalion.

This will give me the Legion I need for my Shifting Sands Project.

There are a few stretch goals that are not included, but those are either added in the pledge manager if I want them or not..

I figure I can sell off the stuff I don't really need ( MDF terrain, Halflings, Rumbleslam and Adventurers, maybe a few of the duplicates of the slaves and hordes) while getting all stretch goals fro free.

Thanks @WhiteWulfe for ambushing my wallet..::P:

It's just too much, sphinxes, catapult, Desert Elves with snakes, chariots, Mummies, Zombie Slaves, Giants...

My girl just laughed when I mentioned it...I wonder why..

So... eeeh aside from the order from Crocodile Games, this will come around march 2020.

As we speak another stretch goal is revealed.

Anything that's added to the Mummy Army or Elven Battalion will also be added to the Megadeal I pledged for.

I kept an extra 20 apart for the Liche Lord Chariot.

Those are really some cool models!  Man, someone custom made that KS just for you! There's lots from that KS that look great, especially the desert halflings, which are quite unique!  The rumbleslam team looks like fun too.

Actually I'm going to resell parts of it.

I'm keeping the majority of the Undead ( maybe sell off a few infantry duplicates) the Elfs and the resin terrain.

I will sell or trade/swap the Rumbleslam team, the Adventurers Set, All MDF terrain ( useless for display and I don't game) and the Halflings will go as well.

If they would have left those out of the megadeal and had included the Tomb Jackals and Jackal Horrors instead I would have been happier.

But the Megadeal was too good a value overall especially with stretch goals getting added to both Undead and Elf forces.

As for custom made?

I mentioned it in the KS thread, I was just making a spreadsheet with all my Shifting Sands forces, marking what I need more of and where I could maybe get it when the KS hit!

There are other alternatives but for the price of this I will get everything including a catapult, sphinxes, chariots etc.

And who can resist a Cobra Hydra?

Are you sure about selling off the halflings? Because they could be used in a diorama showing them chasing the goat...

A tempting idea and it would make a nice scene, but I just don't like painting halflings.

Normally I also seldom paint anything Elven , but these Egyptian Style Elves look great, and I could always file off some ears and make humans out of them.

Finished the Bones Version of the Avatar of Thoth.
Sculptes a bit of ruins with a Greenstuffworld Rollerpin.

Thoth is often depicted as an Ibis, I choose the Red Ibis as inspiration.

For the last few months since Reapercon, I've been focusing on pumping out minis to avoid the rut I got into last year. When I saw that Reaper had released the ghost sailors as metal figures, well... I knew what one of my October projects was going to be. I loved these guys as part of the Bones IV kickstarter, but I've not enjoyed painting plastic minis as much since getting back into metals at the Reapercon melt table, so I was psyched to order them and put in an order that night... Most of the rest I had from Reapercon, although I think I picked up Labella there too.

Either way, these guys painted up gorgeous and easy using my go-to one-two spirit technique! As a firm believer in spooky blue ghosts, I started by priming them white, then giving them a couple layers of Irrisen Blue from the new Pathfinder paintset... My old blue standby was from the HD line and the bottle has faded to the point of illegibility, but it was almost identical. Then once it's dry, I drybrush heavily with Linen White (pure white comes out looking starched, and bluer whites don't show on the blue, but linen is perfect) and... call it a day. Decorate the bases, maybe some pizza... 's good. That said, minis painted using this technique meet my #1 requirement for ghost minis: They're distinctive on the table!

I debated doing some OSL, but decided that it would wash the bases out, unfortunately. I like it better this way, with the bases nice and grounded, and the ghosts spooky and glowing! Lots of fun base details on these, too - 10/10 recommend picking them up if you have any sort of use for them!

Miniatures involved (not enough tags for them all): 03965: Ghost Pirate Cook, 03966: Ghost Pirate Quartermaster, 03967: Ghost Pirate Captain, 03968: Ghost Pirate Bosun, 03969: Drowned Nymph Ghost: Banshee, 03718: Ghost Bride, 03475: Labella DeMornay, Banshee, 03170: Lurien, Ghost, 14168: Gauren, Necropolis Hero, 03799: Female Wraith

      03965: Ghost Pirate Cook

      03966: Ghost Pirate Quartermaster

      03967: Ghost Pirate Captain

      03968: Ghost Pirate Bosun

      03969: Drowned Nymph Ghost: Banshee

      03718: Ghost Bride

      03475: Labella DeMornay, Banshee

      03170: Lurien, Ghost

      14168: Gauren, Necropolis Hero

      03799: Female Wraith

Of all of these, if I had to pick favorites... Hm... Ghost Bride and Gauren. They took the drybrushing perfectly and are super-fun figures!

Most of this Early Modern Monster Hunter/Classic Monsters series I've been doing is based on late-Renaissance and early-modern Europe, with notes of high moors shrouded in cold mists; filthy cities with crooked narrow cobblestoned alleyways; high castles on remote crags, etc. But the world's a big place, and it's good to remember that the pulp authors that popularized the monster hunter as recurring character (particularly R. E. Howard and Manly Wade Wellman) had a soft spot for Africa in their stories.
So here's Ogana, a hero straight out of a Charles Saunders story, with a great Don Cheadle profile. Another fun sculpt, easy to paint and embellish.

[Side note: if you need to make a Sword and Soul adventuring party, this guy plus Nehanda, Jaatu, Rhasia, and Jigeke would be pretty rad.]

Far to the north of the grassy fields of his home, the red desert whispers and calls. There, a traveler may sometimes find the great pillared houses and temples of the very old men from long ago who once lived there, in the times when the land there too was fertile. But the red desert spread and spread and swallowed the grass, leaving none for the cattle; and the old men could not move their houses to follow the grass, having built them of heavy stone, and so there the pillared houses stay, empty except for the sand and the wind.

Or perhaps not so empty, thought Ogana, hearing the grating sound of a large stone slab moving over stone, and then the pad of footfalls in the rapidly deepening dusk, footfalls so light on the sand, lighter than that of a man full of blood and water and meat. Ogana hastened to hide himself behind a column and watched.

It seemed not *all* of the very old men from long ago had left this place.
