Now I have plans for a Caravan of Arabian Merchants and Guards.

Of course there will be Dinos as pack animals.

So the first one will be this mount for the female warrior.

Dragon Trapper's Juju Pack Dinosaur.

Already sliced and supported by myself, waiting for delivery of a bottle of resin.

Right, it's happening again.. a project within a project.

I will create a modular street by using a piece of thin foam to creat a road.

Then print market stalls etc to create a Fantasy Arabian City.

It will be cool to be able to set it up in different ways and take pics of minis in it.

The idea for the Dino Caravan is heavily based on Dinotopia's Artwork, also @bojesphob had a similar idea for a Caravan with Dinos but with Dinomen as crew, inspiration was had!

I want the Caravan to visit the city after a long journey through the dangerous Desert, they have acquired priceless goods from distant lands and civilizations, and they "found" goods in abandoned ruins and temples.

Of course some of those ruins weren't exactly abandoned so maybe one day the city will be visited by the rightful owner of an artifact that was purchased from these merchants.

Let's hope it won't be a Djinn or Sand Golem sent by it's master to retrieve the artifact?

I have several pack Dinos/Camels/Donkeys etc, and I have Merchant Shops and Stalls from Epic and I-Lovecraft.

Arabian Warriors, Merchants, Beggars etc from Titanforge, I-Lovecraft and EPIC and many more related stuff.

I'm pretty excited of this project within a project.

I thought I was out of resin and ordered a new bottle of Elegoo Grey, turns out I still had half a bottle of Wan Hao so...the printer is up and running.

Inspirational Pics

Mount has printed very well.

Wan Hao Resin this time.

Had to clean the VAT though, it was full of uncured resin, print took five and a half hours, it's hot in here and I think that caused it.

Luckily the print itself was not affected.

I left it out in the Sun to cure, the rider and base ( Elegoo Grey) are excellent, the Dino ( Wan Hao) actually now has some small cracks.

I will fill those with putty and it will not be noticable anymore, but I'll stick with the Elegoo Grey I think.

This large piece of thin blue foam has been abused by a cobblestone rollerpin from Greenstuffworld.

It's so large the edges of the pin are visible here and there, so I will obscure those a bit by damaged road, sand etc...

This will be a modular piece where I can put buildings and minis on for pics.

I might also use it for other projects than this.

It's quite large, here it is on the Garden Table.

I used the three primary colours ( craft paint) to create a nice muddy brown to start with.

Filled the tiny cracks with GS and made an extra saddle to make the rider fit.

And only now do I realise this Dino is six-legged.

On a side note, I put cardboard to the bottom of the road/town square piece to strengthen it.

Oh man, I know that feeling! Kind of like getting home from the store only to realize you've grabbed the wrong kind of...whatever it was you were going there for in the first place

I think it's looking great! I haven't thought about Dinotopia in many years, so it's especially exciting to see your project to take inspiration from it! Looking forward to seeing more!

Thanks!

More will come soon!

I don't mind the six legs, I just didn't notice them while I was putting supports on them, when I printed and cleaned them, when I took pics of it etc...

It was a day later when I made the saddle I suddenly thought...hmmm. are those two extra legs?

      My stash will arrive today!
I haven't done a WIP in a very long time , something I intend to remedy.
I am extremely excited to get my hands on my contribution to Bones 5, the Whispering Ghoulsbane. Maybe more so than any prior piece I have made. Seeing as how I don't actually have the mini in had at this moment, Id thought I'd fill this space with some history about the concept.

I like to watch reviews for feedback on pieces I've made (and learned a lot).  A few review waffled on what the thing was, exactly. Part of me revels in this ambiguity -it is what you want it to be. That said it does have a mundane monster  origin story.......wait, say, lets make a game of it!

Which "old school" monster served as the primary inspiration for the Whispering Ghoulsbane? take a guess.

Wait wait wait! it's here, at this very moment! Delivery! let the prepping begin.
      Step 1: Open the bag.

      That is all for now.

So, youngest vixen's boyfriend mentioned my hobby when hanging with his friends.
They like to play board games etc,.
One of his friends asked if I would paint the minis for his Board Game - Dark Souls for him.

      So...I agreed.
He will let me know what he'd like for the bigger monsters.
As for the characters and minions, he let me decide ( oh boy, shall I paint a rainbow skeleton?)

      Anyway, here it goes.

Vampires roam the land, but fear not, there are those who dedicated their lives to exterminate them.
Here we can see how Ernst Holtz and his crew hunt down the evil creatures who were hiding in an abandoned cemetary.
Once nobles and commoners alike donated money to the Order of the Vampire Hunters, but since the Baron's son and his wife ruled the Barony the order was mocked.
People no longer believed in the supernatural.
Ernst suspected the Baron's son and his wife to be behind it but he couldn't prove it yet.
When he heard rumours of vampires in the area he assembled his crew and took out the now rusty Dampfhammer.
      He would show them!
He would capture one of those vile creatures and show it to the people, they would believe again!
Once more the vile Undead would flee before him!
And maybe he could find out why the Baron's son and his wife wanted to get rid of the Order..

Presenting the Sewer Golem (and his fishing buddy Cuttleberry) a monster from the game Twisted by Demented Games.

Took a surprisingly long time to paint considering it's all washes and drybrushing, but I had fun, that's the main thing.

As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.

Alright.  So I want to share some old skeletons with you to both show off some of my older paintjobs, and to reflect on my growth over the past two and a half years.  An what better way to show off my growth in Bones, than with bones?

      More Below Spoiler:

I am not a fan of repainting old models or painting another copy of something I've already painted.  I have so many minis in my collection that I'd rather keep moving forward.
That said, I love painting similar things.  It's a great opportunity to reflect on your past projects and to compare where you started to where you've come.

I'd love to see some before and after photos of some of your works!
