T'Raukzul, Great Wyrm Red Dragon & Treasure Hoard (Really Picture Heavy)

Recommended Posts

This turned out fantastic. I'm a detail junkie so all the little bits and bobs in the treasure horde really make this come together for me. Coupled with your excellent paint work, I'm sure your players are going to love this.

(Although they may dislike you for dropping that great beast on them)

Awesome!

Thanks. I appreciate it.

Nicely done! Great details on the base too!

I probably spent more time on getting the base put together from bits I had lying around than painting it. I also probably spent more money on the base than on the dragon miniature itself.

Some characters are in for a world of hurt. That's really cool. :)

They're already dreading it, like being Gestalt Mythic Pathfinder characters with elite Stat arrays isn't enough.

Fantastic! That is very impressive.

I love how dragons look when I'm done, but painting them is so tedious.

I had fun putting together all the bits, though I did notice several repeating details used in the resin treasure and pewter pieces. I honestly would have liked an even larger coin hoard, but I want sure how to pull it off without it becoming even more uneven.

Really love the gradients on the wings.

Also love that statue.  I'm envisioning the conversation that took place as it was added to the horde - "..and place that over by the wall....No, a little more to the right."

One of my friends looked right at the statue and mused that she was clearly a petrified adventurer.

I have wanted to get into painting for a long time and have watched days worth of videos on it. i think it shows in how my first minis came out.
the first was a reaper kobold and he looks a bit sloppy. (on the card for the hobby holder i got because i could not find anything else to put him on for the pic lol)
next was a blue kobold and a baby dragon, I was still working on how washes work with the blue kobold but the dragon came out better.

now the one i did today

I am pretty proud of him, for being my forth mini i think he looks really good. he is colored like a ring neck snake.

      From Bones 3: Gug

"It was a paw, fully two feet and a half across, and equipped with formidable talons. After it came another paw, and after that a great black-furred arm to which both of the paws were attached by short forearms. Then two pink eyes shone, and the head of the awakened gug sentry, large as a barrel, wabbled into view. The eyes jutted two inches from each side, shaded by bony protuberances overgrown with coarse hairs. But the head was chiefly terrible because of the mouth. That mouth had great yellow fangs and ran from the top to the bottom of the head, opening vertically instead of horizontally."

      From Bones 3, the Werearmadillo

Obviously, lycanthropy has spread too far...and this is a reminder that Reaper are from Texas, where armadillos are native and as I understand it, seen as pests. I would really like to know how the sales figures for this model compares to other lycanthropes.
