Zink
My wife is the dwarf queen and I bought that years ago for her. She used to paint a bit and wanted to collect dwarves. I think she got overwhelmed and scared off when her 20-30 dwarves got my usual treatment and turned into 100+. I mean if you're gonna have any you might as well have a useful number. She'd never play any games with our minis but at least she's good with the collecting. She used to play board games a lot but now doesn't have much time for anything except saying how she doesn't have much time for anything. Oh and simcity buildit on her phone.

Man, I should have bought all the War Machines in multiples those days. My biggest regret from back then. But I didn't have much money and everything I did buy was well used and doesn't have that high of resale value now. Except for possibly some minis I don't want to part with. Other toys and books were worn out or nearly so.
PaganMegan
Is it just me, or were the old metal GW war engines just COOLER? 3
TheAuldGrump
Not just you. A lot of the old Citadel figures just plain had personality. The technical skill is higher now, but they lost a whole lot of what made them a part of my youth. The Auld Grump 2

I've said it before and will most likely say it many times again the current aesthetic in AoS minis while technically great just doesn't do it for me.

It could just be that back then the people running the company played and enjoyed games - Brian Ansell, Steve Jackson (the UK Steve, not the US one), Ian Livingston, and John Peake were all gamers before founding GW or writing Warhammer. The Auld Grump - I really miss some of their old dragons too.... .
WhiteWulfe
Yeah, there was this wonderful appeal to the dragons of the '90's that they made... Lars Porsenna
Man LOVE the Gob-lobber. Never got it when it came out, but managed to acquire one several years ago, though not with all the figures. Use it as a rock lobber in my Dwarf WHFB army. Damon.
