That's great

Ey - YOU are doing the Japanese project, not me.

::P:

Thanks!

But I do need your help every now and then...

Some work on Otokodate, I'm going to paint him like a Shao Lin Fighting Monk ( I practiced Kung Fu myself for years).

He's one of the Cathay men.

This is a very small mini, true 25mm scale.

Just a Base of Reaper Golden Shadow for the skin, Scale 75 Negro Grey for hair and trim/belt.

A little Vallejo Heavy Warm Grey for the tongue and Andrea White Nr.3 for the eyes.

Love the way your orange turned out, I'm a little surprised because the wash really made the color pop.

yes, that's more like it. I think the highlights are a bit too thick, but that can be toned down a bit again if wanted.

Applied more highlights with Vallejo Heavy Orange and Reaper Golden Highlight.

Scale 75 Rainy Grey

Reaper Weathered Stone

Andrea White nr. 2 and 4.

The reapplied Secret Weapon Ruby Wash to tone it down again.

Some flock and Vallejo Earth.

Calling it done!

Normally I choose my translations to be easy enough for google translator to be able to decipher it.

I tried that, but I immediately got several different characters and I couldn't make it out anymore.

It's pretty cool that you can speak Japanese.

I only speak English and German aside from Dutch , the first is like a second language to me, my German is reasonable but I do make mistakes sometimes.

And then there are the little phrases I can use on vacation in Greece, Spain and France, just enough to get me a drink, food or directions.

Presenting the Wayward Mariner, this poor soul is from one of Malifauxs Special Edition sets (I think he's part of an alternate Molly crew) by Wyrd Games.

Very happy with how this one painted up, my only problem is how I've had to awkwardly wedge him in one corner of his large base to accommodate his overhanging anchor, looks weird and stupid.

As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.

Some more ghouly chill down your spine, this is the stuff of nightmare. These are 77720, Ghouls and Ghast sculpted by Julie Guthrie and Bob Ridolfi.

As you continue exploring the cathacomb, you catch sight of a ghastly humanoid creature walk in your direction. The stench of death and rot lingered around its undead forms. You recognize with horror, a minion of the dark necromancer queen Kiaransalee. This is a 77159, Ghast sculpted by James Van Schaik.

I've bought several Christmas minis over the years, but this is the first one I painted! He's such a cute fellow and I had fun with him, even if it was Dec 28th before he was done...

One of my favorite Fantasy races are the Undead, followed by Chaos and Reptilians.
I already have my Lost World Project which tells a tale of Conquistadores, Reptilians, Dinosaurs, and a lot more. And has some Undead in Jungle and or Pirate style in it.
My Shifting Sands project is all about Undead, Arabian and Egyptian style Undead.

This thread will be filled with my beloved Gothic Undead, Demons, Monsters and all things that go bump in the night.
In my Lost World Project I tell an ongoing story, here I will post about all other dark things without coherency.
There might be snippets of loose stories to accompany a mini or not...

I hope you guys and gals and creatures will like it.

Let's kick off with the critters I painted a while ago to get a feel of what is coming.

      Enjoy! ( or not)

Bats and a Murder of Crows

EDIT: I will include some Bones and minis. The bulk will be metal and I want to give the project an oldschool vibe/.
Preferred minis will be, Reaper, Grenadier, Ral Partha, Rafm, Metal Magic, Otherworld and Early Citadel.
The Asian Undead will be from Zenith since I backed the Kensei Undead Samurai KS and will get their own thread.  ( Nippon, Land of the Rising Moon) and the Egyptian ones are in Shifting Sands Project)

EDIT: Since the 3D printing bug bit me, the bulk will probably become 3d printed now.

EDIT - Asked to merge my Undead Threads into one.
      Now CHILDREN of the NIGHT.

This is for all the Ghotic Undead and their friends like Werewolves/Witches/Demons and the Witchunters and Zealots who fight them etc etc..

      Eldessa Necromancer

      Ral Partha Female Vampire

      Lurien and Aysa

      Bat Demon
