Really wish they had done better work with the character/monster design and minis. Some card previews popped up on FB and it looks like a nice twist on the theme.

I agree.  The cards do look attractive and have some fun content.  But the mini concepts are unappealing. 

 

For the moment, I am going to assume that they are saving all the fun ideas for KS stretch goals.   The core game will be for people who want blocky generic armored thugs and some tentacle aliens,  while the stretch goals will have all the imaginative ideas, like aliens you can play as survivors, interesting civilian characters, and kooky alien abominations.

 

I'll be interested when we see Link Hogthrob and Julius Strangepork tributes.

I like this mini render but for me the good is still outweighed by the bad.

I'm generally not a Sci-Fi board game fan (mini fan) and what I'm seeing here, does not entice me as a whole. My wallet is safe - till the start of Monolith's Solomon Kane board game, I guess.

Solomon Kane is being done by Mythic Games - not Monolith.  As for this game, I'm still hoping to get my friend to pledge on it.  :-)

Not just "partnered" I'd say ... one company ran the Mythic Battles KS and suddenly Mythic Battles now belongs to the other company ... Don't even want to know what was going on behind the curtains.
