Very nice! I am planning on doing mine either black or dark green marble. What is this "marbling spray" you speak of? Your crypt looks very impressive. Well done!

It's Krylon I00601 Marbelizing Spray. It's basically a spray paint can that sprays out a webbing of paint instead of a unified cone. I've found it in gold in stores, but had to order the black online. There's also a white, but that was also only available online and was much more expensive, especially since I wasn't sure how it'd turn out when I ordered it.

Thank you! I'll have to have a look at the stores around here and see what they have. I didn't know such a thing existed! It looks great on your crypt!

That marbling effect is awesome.  And the understated purples in conjunction with the relatively neutral tones of the rest of the model, makes for a subtlety sinister feel.  It's an awesome piece of terrain I'd be tempted to have as the backdrop of any minis I'd paint from here on out were it mine!

I'll have to take that under advisement. I'd have thought that using something like that as a backdrop for minis photos might be a little distracting, but I may have to give it a shot.

      From Bones 3: Gug

"It was a paw, fully two feet and a half across, and equipped with formidable talons. After it came another paw, and after that a great black-furred arm to which both of the paws were attached by short forearms. Then two pink eyes shone, and the head of the awakened gug sentry, large as a barrel, wabbled into view. The eyes jutted two inches from each side, shaded by bony protuberances overgrown with coarse hairs. But the head was chiefly terrible because of the mouth. That mouth had great yellow fangs and ran from the top to the bottom of the head, opening vertically instead of horizontally."

      From Bones 3, the Werearmadillo

Obviously, lycanthropy has spread too far...and this is a reminder that Reaper are from Texas, where armadillos are native and as I understand it, seen as pests. I would really like to know how the sales figures for this model compares to other lycanthropes.

I have a series of vignette's I'm planning that all feature ogres in amusing scenes with townsfolk. The first of this series is here.
With this one I imagined the young milk maid is taking her boyfriend home to meet the parents for the first time. The boyfriend, wanting to put on a good first impression has worn his best striped collar and matching belt, as well as brought his best skulls.
He's a bit nervous so she's trying to reassure him. "Don't worry... Mom is going to love you."
She doesn't say anything about dad, though...
Any critique and criticism is always welcome.
