All the information you need should be here.

Due to the revised format, there will be more than one bonus challenge available for this month. Including a "Hard mode" which Is some combination that may or may not have a source behind it.

Your challenge is: 9!

Bonus Challenge the first:
March 26th is National Purple Day (raising awareness for epilepsy) - so paint a figure in monochrome purple. (Yes I know a slime would be an easy candidate)

Bonus Challenge the second:
April Fools' Brigade - Paint a mini in a completely nonsensical paint scheme or other silliness. ex: CAV with a giant bullseye on it, Adventurer with a shield that says "I'm with tasty ->" or something similar.

Bonus Challenge the Fiv Three, sir, three!
Monty Python and the Holy Grail released 33 years ago in April - paint up a figure to resemble a character from the movie

Spoiler

Not that reaper makes a 'not Tim the Enchanter' or anything...

Good luck

The game is made up and the points don't matter

Placeholder post, as I don't have any completed, but I do intend on focusing on a few things...

  • Ebonwrath's d20 random rainbow dragon, with a river running through a forest base.  I've wanted to finish him, and I've wanted to do a nice custom base.  Might be more than I can handle, but only way to find out is to just go for it.
  • Hajad from the Layer up! LTPK....  Because I want to finish the LTPK's ::P:
  • My two Bones Minotaurs, and the two Bones Gnolls.

Challenges seem particularly interesting...  So tempted to paint someone up in like...  hot pink and neon orange plate armor, especially if it were a death knight....  Because that's totally intimidating (actually, it probably would be but still!).  Two of the three challenges seem tempting, third one I'll have to see, as I'd have to look further into Monty Python due to not remember very many of the characters...

April 21 EDIT: So far, haven't gotten a single one finished, but I've gotten a lot of work done here and there, namely with bases, and then getting miniatures set up for priming.  I've also gotten decently far on my Skaven Warlord, but "in progress" doesn't count ::P:

Jan/Feb progress was 6/8, and Mar/Apr progress right now is at 0/9, currently leaving me at 6/17 for overall progress so far.  Sure, it isn't as much as I'd like, but the key thing is actually sitting down and hobbying, which is what I'm doing, and I'm more than happy about that.

So, thought things had settled down and I'd get to try some of the extra challenges (which looked fun). Instead (to keep things short) my father-in-law is now moved in with us until he gets a placement in a permanent care facility.  Needless to say, thing have been a bit distracting.

But I did manage to get enough done.

1-10: Reaper IMEF Marines

I'd say that hopefully things will settle down now, but as my wife goes on a trip next week, and the track opens up...next week, and the Montreal GP is in June,  oh, and I should really start looking for a job ,I don't foresee things settling down....

Got a lot of things started, but nothing finished this period.  Here's hoping to get that momentum going again, and not only doing all the stuff for next period, but also catching up so I'm even for the year! ^_^

Hour of Need is a cooperative game of comic book action inspired by the costumed heroes that many of us grew up with. Using the Modular Deck System (MDS), also featured in Street Masters, Brook City, and Altar Quest, the game features incredibly modular gameplay using several different types of decks. Hero decks, villain decks, and issue decks can all be mixed and matched to create countless combinations of unique play experiences.
      Miniatures
Each hero in Hour of Need is represented by a highly-detailed miniature, as well as each villain and their associated lackeys.
      Hero Decks
Each hero in Hour of Need is defined by their unique deck of cards, representing their crime-fighting abilities. While each hero has their own playstyle, all hero decks share something in common in the form of heroic feats which make certain cards multi-purpose—do you want to play a card for its ability, or keep it in your hand to use its “toughness” heroic feat icon to protect yourself from damage? Managing your hand is crucial in avoiding crises!
      Villain Decks
Villain decks are the primary opposition in Hour of Need. During the villain turn, each player draws a villain card and resolves its icons—these will spawn minions in scheme panels, trigger special villain abilities, or spawn perils & lackeys on the map. Additionally, villain cards feature “Showdown” effects that are resolved whenever a villain is attacked by a hero—if the heroes can first reveal the villain!
      Issue Decks and Issue Boards
Like any good comic book series, Hour of Need tells its stories through issues—issue decks, in this case. Each issue deck is accompanied by an issue board that sets the scene for the conflict. The issue deck details the overall story and special rules for the game. Whether the heroes are attempting to thwart a bank robbery or prevent advanced weaponry from being stolen, the issue deck will provide the villain with their overall goal, which the heroes must prevent in order to win!
      Issue Guides
The issue guide provides all the narrative and rules clarifications for each issue in the game. Players can choose to play a more story-based experience by reading each story point as its cue effects are triggered.
      Hero Dice
Heroes must fight and solve their way through their enemies’ various machinations. Hero dice are used to resolve each fight and solve action, while focus tokens are used to mitigate these rolls.
      Tokens
Tokens are used to track various game elements, such as how much damage a character has suffered, how much justice has been dealt to a problem, as well as where minions and bystanders appear on the board. Additionally, each issue introduces unique tokens to add another level of thematic immersion.

The chibi smallworld minis are all based on existing normal minis in the Reaper lines. I recognized five of them from the minis I have from earlier Bones kickstarters, but not Arnise the female barbarian elf that I painted the other day.
The reason being that the original was included in the Bones 4 core set. An older metal mini being redone into Bones material it seems.

So I painted her in a similar scheme.

The metal version is called Arnise, Elven Sergeant from the Warlord line, and represents the Sergeant of Almirithil's frenzied half-elven berserkers in the Warlord lore.

Why hello there, you remind me of someone I once knew...

Plonking away a the Bones 4 core set, this is number 5:

I am not a number! I am a free man!

The metal version of this is called Ankoa, Barbarian Hero.

He has a really small head compared to most of the other minis. I expect he is not too bright. Probably not destined to bear the jeweled crown of Aquilonia upon a troubled brow.

There's a new playah in town! Come get some!
