Great color scheme! His base reminds me of tea. I should make more tea, and avoid samurai zombies ^_^

That's funny, I usually use tea for basing!

This time I didn't and mixed three different types of basing material..and it still looks like the tea bases?

I might stick to tea then...much cheaper...::):

But if you use it in a base, then you can't drink it. Dilemmas!

Eh, if they show up, offer them tea, in their honour.  Then some sort of snack in their honour, then a cleansing bath in their honour (made of holy water).  Oops, can't go any further and no zombie.

... Wait, that doesn't work?  Hmm...  Cookies then, or failing that a glitter bomb to the face will make even the undead give you an extra second or two in that daring escape...

I started an Asian Undead /Oni project just for fun and display.

Look at the WIP for the background on this army,.

Right now the minis waiting are from Clan Wars and Kensei and a few Grenadier Asian Dragons.

I also have a Ral Partha Ki'Rinn waiting and I purchased some Reaper minis to go with this.

I'm looking forward to see your's painted!!!

Inspired by the weekend question, I took some pictures of the army thus far and found that posting it in the question thread would be excessive, also that I didn't have an ongoing thread for my largest painted army so here it is. The plan is to get my Shelf of Incompleteion cleared off then work on reinforcements for this alongside my Old School Undead army.

Here we have the Pumpkin construct unit led by a Storybook Witch from Old Glory. I have 3 more of her, but the bag only came with the one flight stand and the Reaper ones I have don't fit, when I get around that, they'll form their own unit. Behind her is Rotpatch, and the scarecrow is hanging out with these guys until I can get a couple more. The constructs are filling the slot of core infantry.

Here is a Ral Partha Witch leading the Pumpkin Knight heavy infantry consisting of the Halloween Knight and converted Barrow Wardens.

Willow Greenivy leading the skeletal Pumpkin Guard. 10 newer GW skeletions and a variety of Reaper Bones.

Elise with the Pumpkin Chucker and some Bones skeletal archers providing ranged support.

A female Necromancer and the Etherial Legion of ghosts and wraiths.

An Iconic Witch, Pumpkin Spider, and friends.

A converted Brettonian Sorceress with the skeletal heavy infantry. Basically, what happens when adventurers irritate the witches.

      Bats, wolves, and allied vampires.

      Another vampire and werewolf allies.

Zombies, ghouls, and another Reaper Witch.

Beastmen and hell hounds with an infernalist witch.

Presenting the Rotten Mummy, as the name suggests he's a Mummy that's going rotten, and he's part of the Egyptian faction for the game Twisted by Demented Games.

It's a really fun to paint mini that is annoying hard to photograph, but I think I did a decent job on him.

As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.

For my Shifting Sands Project I wanted a Casket of Souls / Altar of the Damned.

I scratchbuilt the altar from foam with the help of a Greenstuffworld rollerpin I gave it an Egyptian look.

The bones/skulls are from the Greenstuffworld Crunchplates

This is the Bones version.  I used her for an experiment with Contrast paints.  I think it worked ok, but the softer detail gave a less desired effect -- at least on the armor. I had to go over that again with an ink wash.  The red came out very bright.  Maybe I could have gone over that with ink, too, but I liked the vivid contrast. She is a vampire, after all.  I drybrushed a little silver metal for highlights on her armor, looks good in hand, but the flash caught it and it looks like white spots in the pic.

An experiment with metallic paint.  Not sure I like how he came out, but the players sure won't miss their perception checks for that red armor.  Chopped up his cloak a bit trying to get him on a sculpted base, and the color washed out a bit in the flash.
