I was miserably ill last month. Gargling razor blades, everything hurt, and I could barely think. So I painted Death. But he's cute death, and I didn't really care if I fudged up a Bones chibi. I kinda hate painting skeletons, but eh, it was a relaxing paint job. Lots of "woulda shoulda coulda" on making the paint blend smoother, go for more contrast... blah blah. I was sick and decided to taunt Death a little by putting in less than 100% effort on him. Not too shabby for a figure that I may end up flinging on the table willy nilly.

The first reaper I see (afar from Terry Pratchett's Death character) that makes me light-hearted instead of sad or uncomfortable.

As I scrolled down to see the figure, I had to chuckle when I saw him.  Love that smile!  Really nice wood finish on the handle of the scythe!

Great shading on the blacks, which seems to elude me no matter what. Very well done and great news on your recovery too.

Nightshade Purple and the Dark Elf Skin triad work wonders for black. Get a black-black for deepest shadows and go gently up from there. 

 

Recovery mostly good.... still in progress. My throat still irritates at everything, so no hard cardio for me
