I backed their first KS ... it was a mixed bag. The price for what I got was very good and what I got was at least ok, some parts were good. But people reported a number of problems (lots of bubbles in the resin, lots of things to clean up because resin spilled out of the mold etc). But I'm willing to back them again, because this looks very nice.

My first thoughts?  I wonder how I could mod that to be taken over by gnolls... Or I suppose orks could steal it too.

Interestingly, in the comments section they've claimed that any stretch goals not unlocked will be available for purchase afterwards separately.

Kind of sounds like they don't need our money.

Or, to be imaginative and give them the benefit of the doubt, they can afford to make all these pieces anyway and the stretch goals are just to include them in everybody's pledge as freebies. if we want the non freebie stuff (like the work bench at the back of the boat) then we'll have to pay for them.

It does make the initial pledge images rather misleading 'though. I'm considering dropping my pledge based on the confusion & the attitude they've expressed in response to criticism. They don't seem to handle criticism well but it's still a good model and I'm very tempted to remain in for it.

I'm going to pass on this one myself.

I was unthrilled both with quality of the last one and their packing job (sacks of resin, loose in a box do not travel well. It's a miracle I only had a couple of pieces arrive damaged).

Heard about the packaging from a number of people ... guess I was lucky, only had one broken part and that was easily glued. In view of the price I paid (especially for that temple ruin), I was quite satisfied. But yeah, I'm not really happy about the way they are handling things (stretch goals included).

Woah. I've backed out now after hearing about the packaging. I'd heard a fair bit about people not receiving rewards from previous campaigns or even people who'd placed orders with them. Orders going missing in the post and then refusing to send out replacements but now, if stuff's going to get broken up because they won't pack it properly then that's too much of a risk for me.

      The Light and The Dark
I can't tell you how much I love this band! they've got a week left in this amazing kickstarter, and you should totally go check it out!
      *****
      From the kickstarter page:
      About
It’s been over four years since we’ve released an album. That’s about to change.

      The Light is coming 3/20/20.

Here’s the plan: We are going back into the studio with the producer of Carry The Fire, Alex Wong, to record two sister albums that will reflect the dual sides of Delta Rae: The Light and The Dark. The Light will be hopeful, soulful, and sun-kissed and released in Spring 2020. It will include songs like “The Wrong Ocean” and “Any Better Than This.” The Dark will be mysterious, witchy and raw and released soon after (on/before March 2021). We will go on an expansive tour with each record, crafting live experiences beyond just music, to bring these worlds to life for you.

But we need your help. For the past seven years we have been signed to record labels that have helped fund our albums, music videos, photography, and artwork. But as of last month, that has changed.

We are incredibly excited to announce that we are independent once again.

And we are humbly asking you to help us make our most ambitious project come to life. We made our first album, Carry The Fire, independently with the help of amazing fans on Kickstarter. Together, we learned just what it takes to make an album. So, here’s where your money will go:
If we raise $30,000, we make The Light
      $10,000 Production
$3,000 Auxiliary Musicians (Strings, Horns, etc.)
      $10,000 Mixing
      $2,000 Mastering
$5,000 Physical Production (CD + Art)

If we raise $60,000, we make The Light and The Dark

And any additional money will mean we can make *MUSIC VIDEOS* and help spread the word about these two albums.

And this is just the beginning. Moving forward — for the first time in a long time — we will fully control and own the music we release. We can make and share live albums, singles, and protest songs whenever we want. This means more mystical music videos and wildly ambitious creative projects. You will be helping to launch all of this.
We know we already owe you all so much. And it means the world to us that you have helped us live this dream and make this art for the last 10 years. We appreciate you all more than you know and don’t ask lightly for your hard-earned money and help. But we also know you have made us a part of your lives and built friendships and community around Delta Rae that transcend anything we could do alone. You are a part of our story — the most important part.

So let’s have a blast doing this together. Get a big group of friends and host a house party. Pick a song you want to hear us sing. Get psyched for some one-of-a-kind merch. Find the tier that sounds most fun to you. Help spread this campaign so we can make more “Bottom of the River“ and “Dance in The Graveyards”-style epic music videos.
Thank you for being a part of this journey, your support and loyalty will help us make this next chapter real. We promise to work harder than ever to build a world of goodness, magic, and feeling through our music. Because you can’t have the light without the dark. And we still carry the fire.
      Love always.
      Delta Rae

It's back. From the project page:

" A few years ago, another company successfully launched an Evil Dead 2 board game campaign that was never fulfilled to its backers. This other company collected all of the money and delivered nothing to thousands of Evil Dead 2 fans that participated in their project. Because of this travesty, Jasco Games, in collaboration with Lynnvander Studios, the Evil Dead 2 licensing group, and our other partners have come together to bring Evil Dead 2 The Board Game back from the dead. We're calling this campaign a Heartthrob Campaign. What that means is if this campaign successfully funds, all of the backers of the previous campaign (that we had nothing to do with), will be getting a copy of Evil Dead 2 The Board Game for only the cost of shipping (that's right, free + shipping)."

It is time to sharpen thy shovel once again! Shovel Knight makes his auspicious return to Kickstarter in Shovel Knight: Dungeon Duels! Based on the hugely successful crowdfunded video game and made in close cooperation with Yacht Club Games, Shovel Knight: Dungeon Duels  is a competitive side-scrolling dungeon crawler for 1-4 players.  Players compete as different colored Shovel Knights to shovel out  justice in spades against the evil Order of No Quarter all while trying  to grab the most treasure to prove that they are the one true Shovel  Knight!

the relaunch offers a more expensive 3D option shown above, and a cheaper 2D version with card standees in place of the plastic minis for those that prefer it

I didn't see this listed so:

      https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/archonstudio/dungeonsandlasers-plastic-tabletop-rpg-scenery

I received an engineering sample of the product today. They're made of hard gray injection-molded plastic, my guess would be ABS from its hardness and density. The floor and wall ties fit together tightly, though it takes a bit of effort that likely would wear at paint on those surfaces had they been painted. Due to response from earlier sample recipients, the production tiles will be slightly larger than the samples.
