Question April 27-29 Three-part weekend question:

1. What was your best achievement this week?***

2. What are you looking forward to next week?

***Second best achievement was rescuing a box from my porch.

2) Looking forward to going through the box in detail... ...my distant second item is phoning the IRS daily.  It is a very distant second...  :blues:  Verily, a very, very distant second.

Question April 27-29 Three-part weekend question:

3. How are you preparing to make next week great?

3) Hmmm.

I fixed the downspout on a sink...

I am going to get a few groceries today...

...a “great” week. What a concept.

Probably I need a better plan.

1. I got down to the local Warhammer shop and played a game!

2. Another game!

3. Reworking the army list so maybe I don't lose as hard!

April 27-29th:

1: Getting a decent start in the yearly battle against the yard.

2:Not having to work on Walpurisnacht for the first time in years, probably won't be able to a bonfire on a hill, but I can substitute with grilling something.

3: Not sure if the word great qualifies, but I'm no longer being pressured to relocate. So the downside is the Denton migration is postponed, but if my job search works out, then I can build up a larger cash supply for when it does happen.

1:  I completed yet another cycle around the sun.

2:  Work.  Getting rid of my old car (the Rustbucket is Dead, long live the Rustbucket!).

3:  Looking for the title to the Rustbucket.

How to balance the delicate art of eating with the desire to buy all the art supplies... And still get everything you want.

Seems reasonable enough right?  What's wrong with wanting several (dozen) more paints, another brush or three, a wet palette, a larger cutting mat, something to store all this stuff in when it isn't being used (bonus points if it looks nice), and whatever else comes to mind...

The art of smuggling Bones orders into the house past non gaming spouses. Actually I think I have that covered but not everybody is so lucky to have the extra storage so that they can bring in small lots instead of with a fork lift.

For realsies though, i'd be happy with having the tutorial threads cleaned up, so they're not full of dead links. Though, it's been a while since I pursued them, so they may have been.

Non standard skin tones

Leather: its not just brown

Here's how you use a color wheel

Twigs and herbs: how to base like a boss

Drill your bolters: primer on the little things that make a difference

@Froggy the Great's  bits box of horrors

Getting over it: how to deal with the emotions of hacking apart a limited edition figure for a conversation

Right now, I'd really like "What colors from other paint lines are worth checking out to supplement Reaper's paints?"  (And maybe a companion that goes something like "These Reaper paints are wonderful and don't have any easy equivalents in other paint lines.")

Other guides I'd like to see:

  • Leather, especially not-brown leather (like red leather)
  • Painting opaque stones or beads, particularly color choices or resources for finding images
  • Basing, not just how but the considerations for when/why to use specific materials
  • A comparison of skin tone paints (including MSP, HD, and Bones paints)

It's time again for a year-end roundup of the figures I managed to finish last year. These are the figures I finished during the calendar year of 2018, which was, let me tell you, another ... interesting year.

I was absent from here for much of 2018 (starting mid-August 2017), but that doesn't mean I wasn't painting. I hope to post a bunch of pics over the next week detailing all the minis I painted before August 2018. March featured a ton of stuff for convention GMing and I also painted a bunch for Tomb of Annihilation. And just whatever I felt like.
I'm going through stuff elsewhere to see what's been done and soon I'll be posting the list of minis (and also linking to other show-off threads).
      Tablescapes Terrain WIP
Terraincrate Terrain/dressing WIP 1- Wizard's Study general WIP
Wizkids pre-primed minis and more minis terrain & dressing
      Bad Squiddo Freya's Wrath
      Folklore the Affliction minis
      GW mini WIP
      Reaper Bones minis
      77434 Yeti Chieftain
      77460 Dwarf Butcher
77624 Altar to Dagon 77343 Goroloth 77166 Balto Burrowell 77142 Bones Blacksmith WIP Show-off
The missing minis are yet to come... I need to find where they were stashed out of the way.
      Total count 20 (actually, __)
