DSM8012, Fox Female Rogue

Good day everyone! Here is DSM8012, Fox Female Rogue. This 28mm pewter model is from Dark Sword Miniatures, Critter Kingdoms - Anthropomorphic Animals.

This foxy lady is the second in a serie of eleven Foxes I'll be painting. She's another stunning example of Dave Summers elaborated sculpting.

I went with a dark night blue cloak, essential thiefling accessory to hide all her shiny ornaments when lurking.

Another impressive piece, though I have to say: this time I am not entirely convinced by her face. I don't know exactly what I don't like, but somehow it looks odd.

Out of sheer curiosity, will you be painting all of the foxes as red foxes, or will other breeds be represented as well (like swift foxes, marble foxes (even if they're domesticated only now), Arctic, Corsac, gray/grey, Culpeo, Bat-eared, fennec, etc)?

Really nice. I really like the highlights/shadows on the right side of the face. The left side, not as much. It could be the sculpt that forced your hand a bit, though. The straight-on shot shows some asymmetry.

The left side eye is smaller and was harder to paint. Also, I used brown red and orange for the eyes, that may be part of the reason why they are not as bright. I tryed to paint the eyes like they are looking at the coin she's holding.

Yes, I will paint one of the magic user as an arctic fox and I also plan to paint one as a grey fox. Their is so many different foxes to choose from, the wizards will definitely have pale fur. I think the Knight and Cleric would look great has corsac and culpeo fox.
