Randomness XIV: THE FLOOR IS LAVA!

Recommended Posts

We were out and about in Glasgow yesterday and found a new mural. I figure that there's enough artists/cat mugs here to appreciate it ::D: Unfortunately, I couldn't fit it into one shot...DSCN5749.thumb.JPG.5c2ba849b62d52ba69ae03ba3481fb7d.JPGDSCN5765.thumb.JPG.08db80ba455efc43756106a255fed931.JPGDSCN5754.thumb.JPG.efa4797fa673e1c18955d3e6b2115ed3.JPG

Some detail shots

Glasgow has so many murals that there's even a tour you can go on to photograph them all. I'm seriously considering going on it.

So this happened yesterday:

I have a whole one shot in the works where a crew of skittermander find a magic artifact and get shrunk tiny and have to climb an unfriendly Christmas tree. I will make a WIP if I get around to it.

Stupid aliens. Not sharing rides to really pretty places. I hate them. Especially the greys. Stuck ups.

So this explains why you help build rockets, then?

Nicely done! One reason why I didn't feel like running the free rpgday Skittermander adventure at RCON this year was the lack of minis for the game.

AL/Death House game went well last night. I only had 1 regular player show up, but I had a couple of new guys play.  I was hoping one of the regulars would show up late, but he was a no show. No worries.

I brought the 2 new players up to speed & re-started a combat encounter that I had ended the previous week (or 2 weeks) ago on. Party consisted of a dwarf barbarian, gnome sorcerer & tiefling rogue(regular player). Total newbie was the barbarian player, so I kinda helped him along. Told him about rage & suggested when to use it & such. He did quite well in the game & I hope he makes it back again.

Players started on the 3rd level with the animated suit of armor at the top of the grand staircase. Eventually they encountered the nursemaid specter which I changed so she was more of a tragic character that provided a bit of background to the people of the house (ie her affair with the man of the house, his wife's displeasure with him & her overall attitude). She only became a specter/attacked the party when they disturbed the crib where the "baby" was at. Of course the baby isn't there & she attacks. The party also fought the animated broom in the storage closet as the rogue when "rogue" & started to tear up the storage closet in fustration, looking for a secret entrance to the basement....he he. They did find the secret door to the attic & we ended there.

Again, always nice to have game night!!

The sound of the rain pounding on the flight deck above my head is really rather soothing.  I do wonder what it would have sounded like if the ship still had her original wooden deck, rather than the steel she has now.

And as much as I love snow, I'm glad we aren't there yet. I want to keep enjoying Autumn for a bit yet.

Be glad you aren't at sea, making way through a monsoon with water coming in at the top of the elevator doors.

BTDT.

Had nothing but the greatest sympathy and respect for the sailors aboard our escorting Destroyers trying to keep up with the lumbering old lady in these circumstances.

Been there! It’s really something to see. Too bad about the crazy that burnt it down in the 1960’s. Not that I probably could tell between it and the original.

Can’t read it. I get depressed thinking about all the lovely sunsets that have happened over the millions of years of existence of life on the Earth, and how they were never recorded for posterity. Stupid dinosaurs. Couldn’t get off their elf to take some pictures now and then.

I did run it for a couple of friends and we really enjoyed it. One of them has been asking for more Starfinder, so here it is. Not sure what I'm going to do about minis for the pcs yet. I will find something.

The problem with voting by mail, like in Washington, is that I don't get a sticker. ::(:

Same problem in Oregon as well. Our box is located outside the library here in town. Put my envelope in awhile back!

Got both the govnuh & the person running against her on the machine this morning. I guess right up to the last minute. I bet we got a Sheet load of political trash in the mail today as well.

Thou, we did get Obama (recording of course) on the machine the other day.  My wife got a kick out of that one. He of course, was supporting the Demo gov of course.

Best thing for me at least right now is when today is over, no more Idaho Prop 1 commercials!!! Being a border town that gets it's tv programming from Idaho, we get whatever they have on. OMG, it feels like that is the only issue that needs attention. Something to do with gambling, horse racing, schools. <_<

Good riddance!!!

Along the lines of a holiday adventure, I seen on dmsguild that there was a holiday adventure. I may have to run it for my group, since it's AL legal.

(Note: Not that my group really minds we aren't really doing AL by the book due to we are running a "hardback" adventure.)

I'm not a political person but I'm thinking it's probably best if the kids aren't gambling on horse races while at school. That's more of an extracurricular activity.

I don't know about that.  It could help boost interest in math.

Used to play Blackjack in Junior High for peanuts.  As in literally peanuts.

I just started eating an apple. Got 3-4 bites on and realized I didn't really want it. *Sigh* hate wasting food. The pigeons will enjoy it at least.
