TheAuldGrump
When last we left our heroes, they were rooting through the hold of their salvaged ship, seeing what could be reclaimed, what they need to get rid of, and if any can decipher the ship's log and rudder.... When a barrel supposedly containing ale crashed to the bottom of the hold with a dry rattle - releasing bones that scattered and bounced across the floor, the skull with its jaw still tied shut over the rag between its teeth.... The Auld Grump - players have started to arrive.... 5

We had the Taco Bell versions (which are good if you're feeling lazy and don't seem to have any... unpleasant after effects. If you catch my drift.) so of course I was like "I can could make better ones!" And hoo boy did I ever! :takes a victory lap around the coffee table: That's awesome! We don't mind Taco Bell, but we really just wanted the chipotle sauce. We finally found a nearly perfect copycat recipe and we haven't been back in forever haha. 4 hours ago, Crowley said: Alice still seems to be on the road to recovery. But we're all hot. Going out to dinner tonight though. So at least we don't have to cook. That's so good to hear. <3 52 minutes ago, SparrowMarie said: Got my first blog up since May. It's shortish but I think it covers the basics of the topic. Now to research the next one if I can find any info about resin minis that isn't people being broccoli about finecast. Wanted to start getting things that need doing done by now, like grocery shopping. But Husband had a sudden neck and headache crop up out of nowhere. So hopefully shortly he'll wake up and we can get going. Sibling is coming over tonight to help out around the apartment so I'd like to get our running around done before they get here. ETA: Found a set of 72 fine liner pens for under $20 with free shipping because holiday codes. Hoping Husband will let me order today before they run out. That's a short and sweet post, I like it! 8

Pegazus
Single life thought: does the frozen dinner's calories include all the sauce, as in would one have to lick the entire plastic tray clean to get the full amount, or are they allowed to assume some ullage***? ***Not the right word, but was the word that came to mind. I leave it only as a monument to knowing a word that spell check thinks is misspelled, but iddn't.
Unruly
So, after cutting more hedge this morning and borrowing the neighbor's ladder to pull some vines down, I realized that I will need to be calling the power company to have them address the vines that have grown up on the power connection to my house. I don't know if it will cost me money to have them come out and pull them off it or not, but the ones that are there should wither and die since they've been cut off of their roots. So I suppose it can wait until I'm financially able to do so just in case. Which that will probably be about this time next year. I was going to mow my lawn today, too, but between all the hedge trimmings that I've got piled up there isn't much point. About 1/3 of my lawn is unable to be mowed currently, because it's a very tiny lawn. So instead I went to the river, because I was invited out by my friend who, as of tomorrow, is moving back to Rochester, NY. She'll be coming back fairly often, especially for the first year as her boyfriend will still live here that long, but this is the past guaranteed chance I have to see her until probably around Christmas. The river wasn't much good for swimming in, though, because we've had about 3 weeks of regular rain and it was the highest I've seen it in a good while. Most of the rocks we usually hang out on were totally submerged, and I walked off an underwater cliff that dropped me 5 feet in an area that usually barely reaches my knees. When I tried to go out further I got caught off guard by a set of class I rapids that almost bashed me into the huge boulder that we frequently sit on in normal conditions. I'm lucky I've got fast reflexes or I'd have smacked my head right into the side of it, because I was totally unprepared when I stepped into the flow. You couldn't tell they were actually rapids until you got around on the other side of the boulder and you saw a tiny bit of whitewater. Otherwise it just looked like a normal riffle, something that isn't usually going to sweep you off unless you let it. Also, as punishment for her leaving to New York, I bought a 6-pack of Zima and made my friend drink one. Because how dare she leave! She must drink the drink of shame! It's not as terrible as I remember it, but it's still not good. We all had one, including one other random guy at the river who was laughing as we talked about "the taste of failure" and "the drink for people who hate themselves even more than the people who drink Mad Dog 20/20." When I asked him if he hated himself enough to drink a Zima, he said sure and came over to join in our misery. Afterwards, we went to a diner and had breakfast at 7pm. Because you don't go to a diner and not order breakfast. That's what diners are for! 9

Probably fails as "No meeting of minds" or "No mutuality of obligations", but definitely fails as there is no consideration. (Contracts require a meeting of minds, offer, acceptance, and consideration. It's why you'll sometimes see car sales contracts with a phrase something like "one dollar and other valuable considerations".) IANAL, so don't take any of that as legal advice. However, the company is allowed an average of +/- 20% of the stated calories on the package. This is to account the natural variations in the calories, nutrients, fats etc. of foods. It is a large amount of wiggle room though. 6
Unruly
I got a scant few hours of sleep last night. I went to bed around midnight, woke up around 2:30. I haven't been back to sleep yet. I'm annoyed by this. Also, because I was unable to go back to sleep, I started messing with some warmachine minis. Then I found out I was out of super glue. I don't want to leave the house to buy more. My previous energy that was letting me clean, and organize, and do yard work has seemingly vanished. At the same time, I'm now back to the old energy that has kept me stuck in bed, wanting to sleep but not being able to. Yay.
