Ooooh coffee, I like the sound of that.  Thanks to Canada Day having been yesterday, I can pretend to be a lot more productive on this Monday.  I say pretend because I'm not working and therefore slept in four hours, and because knowing me?  I'll probably just kick back, relax, and watch a movie or something ^_^

Just now, Crowley said:

From personal experience I've found that wild mice do not do well in captivity. 3 in a 10 gallon aquarium killed each other, and one had it's brain eaten over the course of a single day.:zombie: The "survivor" was badly injured...

It's so stupid hot out... :zombie:

Yeah - I've known people that had better luck than that with mice, but it never seemed like a good idea to me. (Well, maybe for people that keep snakes. But that is more of a food supply matter than a pet matter.)

On the other hand there is Muriel and Crazy Crow - it took the crow about three days to acclimate to having somebody there giving him food.... (I see Crazy Crow about once a month, these days - Muriel and I are both still a part of his extended 'flock'. Sometimes he brings friends.)

But crows are ridiculously social creatures.

Found out the other day that a friend of mine has rescheduled her wedding. Which wouldn't be a problem except for instead of doing it locally now she's moving it to Colorado... If I hadn't been closer to her it wouldn't have been a problem. There's no way we can go now. I has a sad. ::(:

That's because she's trying to get the proper measurement.

In answer to your question, the skull itself doesn't seem to be harmed, but make sure you get the squishy bits out of it first as they will wreck merry hell with the filter on the machine, which is a pain in the elf to clean. (Sometimes the health inspector needs to learn the definition of honesty. Once you're bought. Stay bought!)

Got a phone call today. Grandma is on her deathbed.

Not sure if I'm taking it seriously this time. This has been every summer for the past 6 years. I think she does it as a test, to see who still loves her. I'm on the other side of the country and I have a job that frowns down on false reports of dead people so I will not be dancing to the piper's flute this time.

Not bad, just been busy.  Haven’t been hobbying much this year but should have more time for it in the second half.

Well, I've done it. I've apparently decided that no, I didn't like having free time after all. Because I just bought a PS4, Horizon: Zero Dawn, and The Witcher 3. So there goes any free time I had, since I will now be compelled to play these games for all eternity.

Oh, and I already had Metal Gear Solid 5 on PS4 despite not having a PS4, because buying it digitally on PS3 gave it to me for free. So I've got a lot of open world gaming to do...

I hope so, hobbying is cool!

Just pledged for a Aztec Style Lizardman Army Kickstarter,  who knew I would be interested in such things?
