You wouldn't want a sloppy amateur job like we see in the show off forum here. To be honest, I'm not entirely certain they were primered by a species with opposable thumbs... Jack has spent far too much money on old minis lately. He stupidly stayed up all night poring over EvilBay auctions. Jack is going to go drown his guilt by going upstairs to cook an entire package of bacon for colcannon and watching a Marvel movie marathon - Guardians of the Galaxy 1 & 2 and Black Panther. Megan has discovered the dark secret of where most of my adventures begin... on the back of tray liners at fast food restaurants. Then to handy dandy flowchart sheets, to organize the outline. Then to three ring binder. Then, if I am feeling energetic, they go onto the computer - otherwise the computer only gets used for maps and handouts. I don't think I'm all that great a painter, but I've seen 'pro painted' stuff on eBay that makes my stuff look spectacular. The mini in question is the one labeled 2013. Very first minis ever. I guess I'll take it as a compliment. (The behir was something I painted in February.)
TheAuldGrump
Not a lot of fireworks at Two Lights this year - Sammy (the dog) is happy. He has people. a frisbee, and small people to chase. Sam (the girl) gave me a rundown of what she thinks about the adventure I wrote for her - and has come to the conclusion that it isn't about Good vs. Evil, but more about Law vs. Chaos and Peace vs. War. Two groups of Evil are at war - Chaotic Evil raider attacking the Lawful Evil Empire that is stirring again after over a century. The Good guys are to the South and West of where this is going on - and things could go badly if either group turns its attention to the nascent Good nations. That the PCs need to make sure that the Good guys have the Peace they need to build up, but that War is coming. She's right, the themes are there, but I thought they were more in the background than she seems to see. (But the PCs do have a lot of opportunities to get the Evil sides to fight each other. A lot.) Too hot to game, so lazing about. The Auld Grump - Sammy chasing Sam is funny - he seems to keep his speed down so he doesn't catch her too fast. Tongue flapping, and drool flying. Brigid Danger, on the other hand, seems to think that this is napping weather.
WhiteWulfe
Uh oh. My silly crazy, totally not serious at all and completely outrageous idea of a demon llama for a homebrew game.... The DM/GM/Storyteller likes the idea of said character... One who's oh so stealthy.... But, uhm, has this one slight quirk... It started simply as a reference to Emperor's New Groove... ...Then it snowballed into a punk rocker demon llama... Which became a death metalhead demon llama... With his own thirty second or so long theme song. .......Who now whenever his name is mentioned, has an x-pattern behind him made out of ten foot tall sparkers WITH a wall of pyro right behind that... And "deal with it" sunglasses drop over his eyes... ....And the llama doesn't even know it happens. Oh, and it's like this Johnny Test kind of vibe to it too, with the (death metal mixed with '90's toy advertisement voicing) theme song tying into whatever the character is doing at the time. Joke became something along the lines of the party is trying to sneak past a group of NPC guards that are playing cards, or something equally "we're totally bored, and don't suspect anyone will try to sneak in" kind of task..... And one of them pipes up "sure hope that demon llama" (cue announcer being all "DEMON LLAMA!") "doesn't come by..." and the announcer is all "don't fail your stealth roll... DEMON LLAAAAAAMMAAA!!!" ...And of course, because said demon llama is totally oblivious to the gigantic show of what just happened, totally aces his stealth roll, and the guards are all "you guys hear something?" and the ranger of that group of guards who failed his roll is totally "nope, nothing at all..." 1
TheAuldGrump
Huh, while I wasn't looking, Iain has passed that terrifying barrier - and is officially a teenager, not a tween. (Thirteen, an important milestone.) I kind of knew it - since Sam is the youngest, and Iain is the oldest. (Most are hunkered around eleven.) Crowley
@SparrowMarie Agreed. I wish my first mini looked that good. 4th of July day off successful. Sausages and hamburgers were cooked and consumed, along with french fries, potato salad, and beer. I watched most of season 2 of Luke Cage. Only 2 episodes to go... Sadly the can of black spay paint I bought was defective, and the nozzle broke off as I tried to use it for the first time. Gonna see if I can get it replaced tomorrow... I did use the white can, and, aside from the humidity induced chalkyness, it worked okay, and it made it really easy to give it all a black wash. 6

Unruly
It would appear that yesterday my AC went out. I didn't really notice it at the time because I spent the whole day in my bedroom, which is the farthest room from the start of the duct work and so is always hotter than the rest of the house. But now? Now I'm noticing it as I'm trying to go to bed and I'm sweating myself into a puddle because the house is 80F. I will be borrowing a multimeter and checking a couple things in hopes that it's a simple fix that I can do myself. Namely, I'm hoping that it's simply a bad contactor. Knowing my luck, though, I'm not holding my breath...
