Is it a sign that I've been in the hobby too long when I look at the Battle of Tripleh's desk and my first reaction is: "Ooh, Tim Mee army men.  I didn't think they still made that style." or is it a sign I've become sage and wizened?

It's a sign that you need to go to different stores for your toys. ::D:

There's a hobby shop here in Metairie called Hub Hobby that has, hands down, the finest collection of plastic toy soldiers I have ever seen.  All different kinds, too.  Very cool.

A friend of mine (Dennis the Younger) has ferrets.

One likes to steal miniatures and hide them.

The Auld Grump - we don't play at his place very often....

I used to live with 2 other nerds, their 2 cats and 1 dog. Every now and then we would discover a mini that we would swear had disappeared. The conclusion would be that it had to be around somewhere and would show up eventually. This went on for multiple years until I found a mini in the downstairs toilet. Weird, how did that get there? Then one of the cats walked in, looked at me and dropped the mini she was carrying on the floor with her 'I'm totally innocent and did nothing wrong, where's the dog' look. We didn't lose any more minis after instituting the lid down always rule <_<

When I was a kid I played with my toy soldiers, I would almost fill the entire room with Airfix soldiers of all periods.

I often summoned my Boxer Dog Pasja ( I had him from 5 to 15 yrs old, he passed away at 10) to watch where he walked so he wouldn't knock them over.

He tiptoed through the world wars..

Every now and then I would find a missing soldier, chewed on in revenge!

Well, it's done. They didn't even need us. He pled to the PI and Disorderly charges and got a fine. So I wasted over 2 hours that could have been spent sleeping...

You should sue them... <_<

There is a whole webpage dedicated to plastic Army men. Wish I could remember the name of it.

My weekly meeting with my boss keeps getting pushed back... From 11, to 1, to 3, and now to 4. She leaves for vacation tonight. We need to have this meeting...

Can I just go home to keep painting my beholder?

And now 4:30...

Ahhhh, you too huh?  I'm thankful the really noisy ones left a few months ago from under my upstairs neighbour's balcony.  Man they were nonstop noisy o_O

Occasionally I'll get one thunk into my living room window, but not as often now that the glass is dirty...

That desktop battle is fantastic, I especially like how a dimetrodon, ceratops, cheetah and giraffe have joined the fray ::P:

In other news, I had just about mustered up the courage to post something in the Show Off section of the forum and got a slight setback this morning

Apparently my house mate had picked up the mini to have a good look at it, put it back on the table then heard a crash behind her. Evidently, Loki decided that it looked better on the floor. Thankfully, it's easily repairable and only some minor touch ups are required.

Your kitteh is well-named. Glad to hear it was only minor damage!

Is it bad I'm still seriously contemplating that seven day challenge for DDS2, and doubly so, plan on titling it something along the lines of Lok'tar Ogar, even if there aren't any orcs involved?  >.>;;;;

Noooooo that's not bad at all! In fact I think it's a fantastic idea! ::D:

(pay no attention to the straitjacket I'm wearing, it's totally the latest fashion in Paris :ik_oops:

Huzzah!
