This is La Charra a wonderful bust from Creepytables Miniatures.

 

 

 

I cleaned some mold lines.

From the look of it the hat needs some work with putty, will attend to that later.

 

I have decided the Skulls on the base will be sugarskulls.

The snake is a Western Diamondback Rattlesnake.

La Charra will get some facepaint in the Dia de Muertos style.

 

I'm not sure about her hair yet.

Blackish Blue?

Greenish?

Red/purple?

 

Need to think about it, any suggestions welcome.

 

I haven't decided about the patterns of her facepaint yet, there are a lot great ideas out there.

I was thinking about a black hat with silver ornaments, but that last pic is a great idea as well.

I need to think about it, maybe a purple hat will work better with dark hair.

Or a black hat with green or purple hair?

Decisions decisions.

 

The hat has mold lines and I think I need to use a dremel to get it smooth again.

2nd pic is from the website...not my mini.

First one is, but the lines are on the visible underside of the hat.

 

Will attend to it soon.

I used sugarskulls on my Tanith's Altar piece.

I will do that with the ones on the plinth as well..had some practice ...

Does your hat have the mold line all the way around the bottom?  if so, email them and send them a picture.  they sent me a new hat because they re-worked their molding process to fix that issue

I bought it months ago.

I think I can fix it.

 

I send them an email just in case.

Maybe they will still help out

I bought mine when they first released it.. seriously, I brought it up on Bookface to ask for fixing advice and the owner told me to email them.. like 6 months after I bought it

I just received an Email from them.

I didn't even had to send a picture, they will send me a new hat!

I can already see it will be difficult to pick a facepaint.

Primed her white.

 

The new hat will be shipped on Monday, might take a few days to arrive.

I have primed the old hat grey.

I will use it for practice to see if I want the hat to be black /silver or Purple/ gold or maybe something else.

So I will paint parts of the old hat to see what I like best.

The good people of Creepytables Miniatures send me the new hat.

 

Looks way better, just a small line which can be fixed instead of the chunks and lines of the first batch.
