Ooooh, loving how it's coming along, especially those skulls and her hair!

Thank you!

I saw something, and I'm not sure I want to mention it because I don't know whether it's intentional or doesn't matter.  And if it's either one of those things, I don't want to come off as a schmuck.

But, seeing as you're working on the skulls around the base...Here goes:

The pattern of the colors around the base kind of throws me off.  Blue and purple are across from each other, but red and black don't keep that pattern.   I would have expected one of the red skulls to be black and the black skull next to it to be red...or one set of blue/purple skulls to be switched.

Using this picture as reference, we have (behind the post): Red, Black, Purple, Blue, Black, Red, Purple, Blue.  I would have expected Red, Black, Purple, Blue, RED, BLACK, Purple, Blue or Red, Black, Purple, Blue, Black, Red, BLUE, PURPLE.  But I'm probably working too hard to find patterns and it's good to challenge expectations!  And like I said, it may not matter or may be intentional.

I get that!

However I didn't put them in a sequental pattern.

Right now they have those base colours, but in the end when the markings are applied they will all look different anyway.

I will not use the same markings on a skull.

But I understand what you mean.

Breaking patterns a little can help bring in a little tension to something that might otherwise seem too predictable.  She's coming along nicely!

Thank you, she will take some time.

I tend to paint slow and with busts and large scale I usually take my time
