Cyradis
She's looking wonderful! I like the subtle glow that you have going right now, but I'm sure wherever it ends up will be even more fabulous. I hadn't even thought to do OSL on my copy of her (had her clunking around the bin for over a decade). Always thought that the staff was solid wood, no gem in the end. How did I miss a gem?! **shame**

How did I miss a gem?! **shame** Don't tell anyone, but I faked the gem on the staff. It's not really there, just painted on effects. Shhh, its a secret.

Geoff Davis
I went back over her again today. I added some more glow in a few spots that I had missed before. I darkened the areas of skin which are away from the light some more. I layered more white into the light source on the staff. Also darkened some of the brown areas of the staff to make more contrast with the light source. Overall I think it has turned out pretty well. Not quite the effect I had originally intended but I like what it evolved into. One of the things I noticed that I have to do better is preparing the miniature. There are some big holes in her cloak that I should have noticed and filled with greenstuff before I primed her. I also should have sanded her face gently to smooth the surface of her cheeks and used a sharp blade to make a separation between her face and her hair. It would have made blending on her face a lot easier.
