Sister Ellen-Zombie nun

Recommended Posts

Sorry for the multiple crappy pictures...my cheapy camera doesn't like bright white at all, so I had to take multiple pics under multiple lighting situations to get all the different elements photographed...having said all that, let me introduce you to Sister Ellen!
Sister Ellen is a zombie nun character in my upcoming diorama "Plan 9: Ressurection". I made her ruler myself, the figure came from Westwind Productions, and she's 28mm. She used to be a teacher in a Catholic school...and carries a weaponized ruler to aid in her spree! She used to crack knuckles and take names, now she cracks skulls and eats BRAINS!!!

Plan 9 from outer space is clasic ... it's a perfect modern game setting , aliens come to earth and raise a zombie hoard to ... this is where a GM can have some fun ...

As for lighting , I have had to move light cose and further tried a mix of light types  ... I found 2 spots (depending on time of day) I can get some natural light in the mix, that seemed to help me a lot with my little phone camera.

"Weaponized ruler"? Isn't that a bit redundant? Lol... I still have scars from ruler fights in grade school. You can draw some serious blood with those things.

      Greetings!

Vietnam Zombie with gun from Citadel Miniatures of old!

This was a limited release which was linked with both the Chainsaw Warrior board game & 40K Chaos.

      Thanks for looking!

I mostly modelled this off Michael Proctor's paint job, and used it as an exercise in learning to push contrast and glaze unlike colours. The photos make the colours seem to little more vibrant than they are in real life. Overall very pleased with the result!

Bob Ridolfi's Graveflesh Servant (aka Bride of Frankenstein) in Bones.  I tried to get some different flesh tones on her various parts, do some bruising at the wounds, and not-exactly-sheer fabric effects.  Spent far less time on it than I should have.

Keeping with my prior undead dragon being a reanimated metallic, I decided to paint up the Bones 4 Zombie Dragon as a copper dragon. I surgically removed its raised claw to fix an issue I had with my Ebonwrath, and sculpted a ruined claw on in its place here. Decided that the rot in the dragon would be where the verdigris of a copper dragon should be manifested, and went to town. Figure is mounted on a 4" diameter wooden base. Camera images had some trouble getting the color right. The closest are probably the first and last ones.
As always, enjoy, and feel free to let me know what I can improve.

I found it really hard to light and photograph such a tall model, I'll have to get him off his shelf and try and take better pictures at some point in the future. I chose the bright red tongue to tie in with the reddish muscle and the red roses (which are a theme of my Warhammer Vampire project) as a spot colour.
