We're still going strong! Incredible. It's been a bit, so poke me if I ask a duplicate. I've missed y'all. ^_^

The roolz:

The obligatory rules posting:

1. Every day, or so (unless I am out or ill or something) I will post a question.

1.5. If I fail to post a question, Inara (possibly) will post a question of her own choice.
2. In theory there is a 24 hour span to answer that question before the next question is posted.
2.5. (Rule 2 is the most frequently ignored rule.)
3. Questions are going to be posted between 6AM and 8AM EST
3.5 (Rule 3 may be the 2nd most broken rule.)
4. Everyone is encouraged to suggest future questions to be posted via PM to me.
5. You do not have to answer every question to play...
6. If a question is TMI or N/A simply wait for the next question.. ..or post that you decline to answer (clues regarding why are always fun).
7. Weekend questions may take the form of two or three day challenges, often starting on Fridays.

I will be posting late the night before as I won't be awake super early in the morning.

Sausage Cheese Biscuits? (Not really certain what to call them..)

Making and bringing are usually beyond my skill set.

Wine? Yes, definitely wine. Cookies are to bring to final exams. Hmm. Snacks for parties... maybe also cheese. Or jalapeno popcorn.

But usually wine.

Cheese and crackers.

Chips and salsa.

Wait, no...

Loaded baked potato skins.

Or maybe...

To make: Lasagna. Not because I try to make it a party, but because I don't know how to make a small lasagna. So a lasagna ends up necessitating a party as I call people up and invite them over to help me eat the average 10-12 pounds of lasagna. A party just sort of happens as people bring beer and food and themselves...

To bring: Cookies. The number of people I know who did not grow up with homemade cookies is staggering. So I toss together some average chocolate chip cookies and it turns into this big emotional thing and it's... I dunno, it's gratifying. And kind of sad.

To eat: Food I didn't have to make. Or if I had to make it, Hunk O' Meat. It's hard to beat a Hunk O' Meat cooked just right and eaten with the hands all barbaric-like.

That's something I miss about Los Angeles. Not anything involving the city itself but my brother. Whenever he and I got the house to ourselves we'd bring out the beer and then a whirlwind of activity and suddenly we have a giant pot of macaroni and cheese, a platter of burgers, a roast beef, stuffed mushrooms, grilled onions and corn and zucchini, noodles with cabbage, home cooked bread, maybe a 12 pound lasagna, and we have no idea what just happened.

All the noms!

Seriously though, when I went to gaming sessions I liked to bring new things to try out. Because of my diabetes I was never able to eat an entire bag of chips, but I also didn't want the rest to go to waste. Fortunately, I had many other players who had no problem with me sharing. ::):

At home I like to have some kind of meat or mixed nuts, though I may be odd when I consider a steak to be a snack.

Homemade jalapeno poppers and sandwich cake. And frog eye salad.

This sounds like holidays at my Aunt's house with Dad's family. Trays of bierocks covering every available surface (including the cars in the garage), helping dad roll a triple batch of orange bow knots and kase wirenica, case verineca, (whatever, the cottage cheese stuffed ravioli that were boiled, then fried in butter). Yum, yum!

That is sad. And it’s not that difficult either...we made these iced molasses crinkles on Sunday:

Spicey Oriental Snack Sized Sausauge Rolls.

Mixing Ground Beef with some dried Nasi Goreng Veggies, Garlic and Sambal Badjak, put that in small Puff Pastry squares, glaze with egg and bake in oven at 220 celsius for 25 minutes.

Make: Hmmm, probably anything with chocolate. Cupcakes, cookies, something like that.

Bring: Beer.

Eat: I'll second the deviled eggs. I love them, but have never made them and sadly, Mrs. Gargs does not like them, so not likely to get made by us all that often.

I love ttuckerman's deviled eggs, but my favorite has to be my erstwhile friend, Karen's  onion dip. It was SO GOOD that after more than twenty years it sings in my memory.

Freakin' love me some sausage rolls. I've made some using my meatloaf recipe before and it was amazing.

My go-to for party food to make is probably deviled eggs. I like to mix up the seasonings pretty regularly.

To eat, I'm all over a cheese board/antipasto platter if there is one.

Can I say stew?  Stew's a "snack" right, even if it's "let's see if the crock pot finally says screw you and dies because of how much stuff you crammed into it stew"?  ::P:  Love making it, not too fond of the bill of materials though.

I used to absolutely love making brownies back in the day, but ever since moving into this tiny lil apartment I don't really do much in the way of baking.
