May 1: What is your favorite party snack food to make, bring, or eat?

I'm a big fan of charcuterie: cured meats, cheeses, dried fruits, pickles and olives, marmalade and other spreads... With an assortment of crackers as a delivery system.

Mixing and matching to find new flavor and texture combinations. Always a blast! And, as a bonus, it's very easy to make.

I'm not much of a party person, but when we share food with friends I usually make a salad (carrot salad, tomato salad, asparagus salad, broccoli salad, etc) because nobody else brings vegetables.  Second most common item would be a fancy cheese board (various cheeses, different crackers, jam, nuts, olives, etc.)

Deviled Eggs.  That reminds me to get Deviled Egg Potato Salad today when we shop. Not as good as DE, but better than regular PS.

Mmmmmmm :: Deviled Eggs.

I like those too, ...as well, ...also. Mmmmmm.

The things I mentioned (and tried to remember) are called:

Sausage Cheese Balls

...or at least that is what Betty calls them.

May 1: What is your favorite party snack food to make, bring,...?

I did once make and bring rabbit food.. (White Cabbage-Free Coleslaw**) ..but that  was Thanksgiving dinner, where one can get away with bringing vegetables to the table.

**white sugar, white vinegar, and white cabbage=normal coleslaw.  The problem with most Coleslaw is that it is nearly colorless  <_<  I tried to fix this

Food, as a rule. >.>

I have, in no particular order, brought: Potato Salad, Pumpkin Cake, Fudge, various kinds of cookies, ribs, dips, chili and cake (tm) to gatherings.

I am willing to make almost anything in my repertoire for a gathering, the trick is generally transportation.

I'll eat just about anything you put in front of me, and have been known to be willing to try new things even if I know what they are.

So, food. ^.~

My husband's grandmother used to run a bakery and she makes the most heavenly cookie-brownies that I have ever had. She's amazing. They're amazing. They are super fudgy and doughy without crumbling/falling apart or feeling too gooey/uncooked.

I generally bring fruits or veggies, occasionally cookies or a pie when I have time beforehand. They're nothing like those cookie-brownies though.

The last few times I have made a sauce and poured it over Lit'l Smokies in my slow cooker.  While I hesitate to call it a favorite, they are superfast, easy, and people eat as mush as I make.

In the past though I've tended to make desserts such as baklava or schwartzwalder kirschtorte.
