I have actually been painting, sadly I'm no longer as fast as I used to be.  I just wanted to post a photo of two Tom Meirer Elf's

that I am currently painting.  I have gotten a bit ambitious as to the guards, and also the basing project.  So when it is done, I will

post in the show off Forum.  I have gotten rather fond of the plastic vise grippers to hold the miniatures.

Do you like the ligh vice as a large solid base or as a hand rest or as (fill in the blank) ?

I use the plastic vises as holders of the mini's while I paint them.

I also use them to hold the mini's when I am going to photograph them (unless it is finished photos).

They are pretty solid.  I can't see my hand resting on the vices.  These are SMALL MINI's..but the vises

are pretty solid, and you can lock them in place as you paint.

Hope that helped.

Glad to see you back at it!   I do like how these imperial guards (which they must be to have all that golden armour and the hallowed Orange tunics) are shaping up.

I continue painting, just had to slow down due to meds and post surgery garbage.

I can't pass up a Meirer sculpt..and I put that orange in there for you (I know you knew that)...

also it makes them a  pair, and I need them to balance each other is basing scheme.

Thanks again.

I have some of these little guys still unpainted.

I will watch your work closely.

They are difficult to  paint, but once you master them,

other things are complicated; but NOT impossible..LOL.

Thank you for your comment.
