LFR or: Looking for Room (2018 Room Mate Thread )

So, how does one go about finding folks who are looking to split a room for the con? I'm gonna be able to go this year, and the forum description said this is the place to do it, but I dont see a relevant thread. Let me know if there's a better place, I guess?

 

While it wouldnt be the first con I've spent sleeping in the bushes outside the convention center, Texas sounds hotter than CT, so I am currently looking to share, if anyone has a free corner they're looking to fill. So, let me know and we can talk money, I guess? Bonus points if you're flying in and we can carpool to and from together - I pack light and ship well! :)

Typically, someone starts a thread each year on this topic and that then becomes the room mate thread. Congratulations, you are the 2018 starter! 

 

Use this thread to state your desire, but please take the money and personal discussion off-line using the Private Message feature.  Come back here and post that you have a room mate once you found one. I'll keep a list of those looking for room mates so they don't get lost.

 

Unrelated chatter will be pruned.

Any one else looking for a roommate to split costs?

 

Work just decided to send me nearish to Dallas (which is awesome because I live in Europe). And I was able to negotiate Thursday and Friday off.

 

But boy are rooms expensive right now. I’ll be there from late Wednesday to early Saturday.
