I'm a HUGE fan of the socialist utopia that the UFP at least tries to be.  Gregor Vorbarra, the Emperor of the Barrayaran Imperium also seems like the good sort.

Me? Despot. Socialist generally benevolent despot, who'd probably socially engineer himself right out of a job. And if I'm lucky, I'd have built up a civil infrastructure that the regime that would follow would last centuries.

I just remembered that T'Challa, aka Black Panther is a very good leader (the right of succession can get a bit extreme though).

And I'm not saying that just because I want a pet battle-rhino. (I mean, I *do* want one, that and a force field cloak, but T'Challa is a desirable leader for other reasons).

From Star Wars.  Mostly the Machiavellan stuff.  He was very adept.  EVIL, but quite adept at manipulation.

I'm also a fan of the Emperor who was tricked into wearing no clothes.  Simply because it shows the foolishness of Empire Building.

Favorite ruler would be Aragorn from LOTR.

What kind of ruler would I be? Probably like Kellanved from Malazan.

My favorite ruler would have to be the red plastic one that came ith my copy of Mordheim: City of the Damned. Nice and red and about 18 inches long IIRC.

Though, no specific, I like the small key chain tape measures that extend to 3 ft.  Because you can bend them around corners.

I must go with my namesake's choice: Garion of Riva and his queen Ce'Nedra. They're kind and fair and bring prosperity. They're forgiving to former opponents and form new alliances.

Me? Uhh... erm....

Minions can appease me with appropriate shiny rock specimens. ::P:

I immediately pictured Deepholm, a zone from an old WoW expansion 8 (eight!) years ago. Lots of shiny rock pictures!

June 18: What are some overlooked professions needed to survive a zombie (or other scary trope thing here) apocalypse?

Everybody wants the big fighter on their team, but who else would you need?

Mechanics, doctors, and hunters. Mechanics are vehicle-doctors, doctors are your healers, and the hunters keep you fed. I do NOT want a big fighter on my team; too much melee and they're bound to get bitten. Give me the ranged fighters and sneaky folks in the zombie apocalypse any day, plus the healers.

Now, on the zombie side of it.... give me the fast and sneaky ones. Give me the sprinters and the dancers.

I would have to agree with the choice of Garion and Ce'Nedra, that was a good series.

I don't want to rule, I just want to be friends with everyone and take care of people.

Tinker. Things need to be fixed so that they can continue to be of use.

A polymath. Someone who knows how to culture yeast, identify which mushrooms are safe to eat and make stuff like asprin from simple ingredients.

Read Larry Nivens' "Lucifers Hammer".

Gunslinger

Gunsmith (and reloader)

...the most important tool to have is:

(Because one of ^ these is what a fellow needs to break into the places where anything else he might need or want could be had.)

For long term survival, farmers, gatherers, folks who can make all sorts of stuff from scratch. Chemists.

Somebody with a sense of humor. The Zombie Apocalypse is gonna be pretty darn depressing, you need someone around to help keep spirits up. This can easily be combined with one of the other 'jobs' that have already been mentioned.

It's time again for a year-end roundup of the figures I managed to finish last year. These are the figures I finished during the calendar year of 2018, which was, let me tell you, another ... interesting year.

I was absent from here for much of 2018 (starting mid-August 2017), but that doesn't mean I wasn't painting. I hope to post a bunch of pics over the next week detailing all the minis I painted before August 2018. March featured a ton of stuff for convention GMing and I also painted a bunch for Tomb of Annihilation. And just whatever I felt like.
I'm going through stuff elsewhere to see what's been done and soon I'll be posting the list of minis (and also linking to other show-off threads).
      Tablescapes Terrain WIP
Terraincrate Terrain/dressing WIP 1- Wizard's Study general WIP
Wizkids pre-primed minis and more minis terrain & dressing
      Bad Squiddo Freya's Wrath
      Folklore the Affliction minis
      GW mini WIP
      Reaper Bones minis
      77434 Yeti Chieftain
      77460 Dwarf Butcher
77624 Altar to Dagon 77343 Goroloth 77166 Balto Burrowell 77142 Bones Blacksmith WIP Show-off
The missing minis are yet to come... I need to find where they were stashed out of the way.
      Total count 20 (actually, __)
