I wasn't disappointed with Ep's 1 & 2 until Ep 3 came out.   After that, I felt that the essence of the first two movies sould have been condensed into about 30 minutes, and the third movie expanded to fill the rest of the trilogy.

Easy. Rebuild the sets, get as many of the actors back as I could, beg Joss Whedon to come back and run the thing, and get at least three more seasons of Firefly out of it.

That being said? Revamp Wars. Enough of this mining the old scrap pile. Enough digging through the old stuff. There's TONS of Expanded Universe stuff out there that would make great canon. I have no objections to cameo appearances, sly references and easter eggs, or even taking an old guy and making him a major character in something new (the use of Thrawn in Star Wars Rebels was absolute genius), but I really have had it up to here with prequels and reshufflings of what has come before. 

That being said? Revamp Trek. Trek is not Wars. Quit trying to make it more like Wars and make it more like Trek. And this includes the part about going back and reshuffling the old stuff. Cameos, use of old settings and characters, easter eggs, those are great. The fans love it. But enough prequels, and enough Abrams. Oh, and settle on a Klingon design and STICK WITH IT, DAMMIT!

Favorite Season: WinterSpringSummerFall.  What I like best: It changes.

 

Movie/TV:  I'll do three. 

1. Star Trek: Redo the reboots so that the continuity is right.  If you make one change that others flow from, don't have things different from before the change.

 

2. Alien series: Wipe out all after Aliens.  Have Newt and Ripley survive and then find out that the ship that crashed was not destroyed.  Someone has tried to restart the colony and the aliens are on a ship headed into Earth.

 

3. I lost the thought but I will go to Star Wars.  Han drew first.  Redo the first three. Total plot redo.

I would almost certainly make a bunch of changes to improve my own perception of world, plot, and character consistency, pleasing maaaaaybe 20% of the audience, and driving my beloved thing into the ground. Chances are, I would also massively overspend on all aspects of production, producing at least a little[/i] general awesomeness, but getting it axed all the faster.

I would take Star Wars and make the next movie feature ZERO white Caucasians.  I've always wondered if a loud enough scream from the US would make it all the way here to HK and I figure this is my best way of finding out.

I'm sorry I've been a bit quiet the last couple weeks - I haven't even answered my own questions! And I had some good ones near the end of last month, too.

Yes! I absolutely love the idea of fall and winter, but it's just cool summer in Texas anyways. Autumn is my favorite romanticized one, but spring is the one I enjoy the most down here. So much life to appreciate!

Oh man! Amazing timing. I was absolutely dying for mooncake yesterday so my lovely husband drove us over an hour round trip so I could go to my favorite bakery that has the best lotus ones.  We're uh... actually going to be about 15 minutes away from it when we move next month.

 

Can you say dangerous, I'm going to stuff myself on rou song bao for a week straight....

And yikes, Star Trek. I'm of the mind that one can enjoy both Trek and Wars. You don't have to choose. But don't make it the same thing!

I hate that the Abrams movies feel like "Generic Space Adventures with Explosions. Oh and Fleet Communicators."

I honestly had to look it up, it had a different meaning than I thought.

I want to experience a really good day, the whole way through, and remember it. Really notice all the beautiful little moments.

I've never really thought about what's on my bucket list.  Going to ReaperCon might not be on my bucket list but it is something I'm really looking forward to.
