Othikent
I actually started off my current hobby carrier my making my own minis. I sort off fell out of doing it in favor of traditional miniatures. I've been wanting to get back into the swing of sculpting again, so I decided to tackle one of my favorite member of the cthulhu mythos, The Great Race of Yith. Not much done yet just the main body so far. I'd love to hear what you all think.
DanH
Nice start! I like that you are going with a more organic look than the classic pulp magazine cover version (not that there's anything wrong with it).
Othikent
Thanks! Yay the old pulp art is fine and everything but I wanted to give it my own spin.

Rainbow Sculptor
Love those necks, how'd you get that texture?!
Boaz
Ooo two tentacles up Looking great so far ... was that air dry clay clay or bake clay for the base ?
Kangaroorex
I love your take on the Yith! much better than the pile of 'stuff" that seems to form most of the commercial versions. This is so much more elegant. I could see this version passing itself off as a humanoid form with a large dark hood. I particularly like the eye head/stalk, very sinister

Othikent
Ok. Got him primed now for the hardest part. Deciding on a color scheme.
Rigel
I love me some Mythos minis, so this is near and dear to my circulating-organ (which is *definitely* a heart that pumps iron-based blood, as is customary for us humans). Superb work on the head and claws...expressive eyes, even before painting. And the curves on the body cone are beautiful. Reminds me a bit of glass sponges for some reason. Keep it coming!
