What a Joke they make it sound like an external person was the culprit and they just failed to check. That doesn't explain any of the other copy pasting going on (Company Information, FAQs, BGG profile etc). And the "Alpha" rule book looked pretty "finished" to me. I personally didn't really get the vibe from it that drastic changes would be intended. Otherwise it wouldn't have had all pictures and design elements in it etc. To me it looked very convincing as a "this is what you will get" and not a "this is work in progress". I already reallocated my funds.

Well this is something I've never seen before.

 

Kicktraq has removed this project from their site and has posted the following statement there instead.

 

"This project owner has asked us to no longer share their project data. Feel free to contact the project owner if you have any questions."

While I was watching, I saw several backers drop and the funding level drop. I suspect that they would rather not show the graph of those trends, but it might be interesting to follow those numbers.

I'm not saying this project is a scam, I'm just saying that if this project were an email, I would not be clicking on any links and would be looking for whose suspicious email department to forward it to.

Down ~$2000 in the last hour. Looks to me like the people paying attention are fleeing. Though the people who have been paying attention for a bit longer have, I suspect, long ago left or never boarded the boat to begin with.

Regarding Kicktraq. Some are wondering if it's reappearance is due to software automatically updating the totals and overriding the removal.

 

I'm hoping it's Kicktraq rethinking removing it despite the project creators request... or possibly threat.

Been flying around the net this morning ... here is another news item I just got from asking the CEO of KickTraq a quick question:

Adam Clark ... CEO - KickTraq: "We got a fake DMCA request. After review, we put the project back up."

Adam went on to say he was not disclosing who send the fake DMCA so no way to directly say it was anyone from this project at this time.

2nd comment from KickTraq just to complete the picture:

Adam Clark - "If we receive a credible DMCA with all the appropriate documentation, we hide the project. Kicktraq isn't making me rich by any means, and thankfully it's self-sustainable. I can't afford to get sued by some random wack-job even though I feel it's completely fair use.""

If they actually tried to fake a complaint to Kicktraq to get the page taken down ....

Oh my, that comments section has gone seriously toxic. My opinion would be that the toxicity killing the project would likely be the best outcome for everyone who has pledged.

 

Might be wrong, of course, but at this point I'd put money on the other side of that bet.

I popped in on the page when I got my 48 hour notice. 

 

Interesting that they had a DMCA takedown notice got sent to kicktraq.

 

I came here to figure out what happened about 5 days ago to make the funding start going down.
