Very nice. I love the artwork. Do you have plans to get these sculpted? You are obviously very artistically inclined, are you able to sculpt them yourself?

as much fun as that'd be, i don't have the skill for it nor can i afford commission prices for sculptors, so not likely to see them sculpted. I can sculpt bases and basic things, but a dragon is beyond what i can do

I had a dream last night of a wyvern that had transparent circular scales in its wings that acted like magnifying glasses, catching and focusing the sun's rays into deadly beams that caused fires below him. I was trying to stop him while flying on a giant raven that was blind.

Still, an interesting idea for a wyvern concept

Less cheese before bedtime, I would suggest.

It matters little if the island starts barren or is later converted to being barren.  Haha.

true, true. This is a very deadly wyvern breed and i imagine very little else lives on their island chain. They probably feed on fish from hte sea and sea birds

i've done some thinking on my Water-Ice dragon type, and have elaborated a bit on their feeding styles

They have a almost pelican like head with a long snout and a pouch in his throat that can expand. Their teeth are slender, many, and lock together tightly. They can feed like a baleen whale, swallowing immense quantities of water into their expanded throat and then filtering it out through their locked teeth to strain food from the water

they can of course hunt and eat large prey as well, and the throat pouch works like a pelican in that hunting style, even scooping large fish, sharks, or dolphins straight out of the water into the pouch

also here's some of my subtypes

Arctic Wyvern: These are seal-sized wyverns that have fully adapted to aquatic life style. They eat squid, fish, mollusks and penguins. They're fast, agile, and rest on ice floes.

Anemone Dragon: A foot-long asian style dragon, with stinging tentacles along their backs. They coil into a ball to mimic anemones, luring in reef fish. If touched, they can sting and paralyze the fish and eat at their leisure, otherwise they will lunge out of their mimic ball to try and catch one.

Butterfly Dragon: Lives on small tropical islands, living off of nectar and fruit. Very delicate, very small.

Magnifying Wyvern: With reflecting circular scales in their wings, which catch and reflect light into scorching beams, wherever they live turns into a barren ashen wasteland. They dwell on islands out at sea, living off of fish in the water, their homes scorched and lifeless other than their nests

Hermit Dragon: Extremely small asian style dragons that live in snail shells. Delicate vegetarians, the live off of sea plants and algae. The snail shells are pushed together to form colonies with others of their kind , and are hardened from the inside with their saliva to strengthen the shell and prevent it from natural decay that would eventually destroy their chosen home.
