I am the God of procrastination.

I'd be a dick God, but only when I get around to it.

Goddess of Rocks. Mostly ambivalent, but rewarding good adventurers and sending heavy objects falling on buttfaces.

This question was inspired by a conversation hubby and I had while on a walk. I wanted to be the goddess of fertility and flowers (because flowers are a fertility symbol and they're awesome), mostly so I could be surrounded by flowers all the time, but also so I could smite people with infertility when they proved their unworthiness to procreate. So, I'd be both benevolent and vengeful.

Hubby said god of justice. For uh, pretty much the same reasons I did.

(The reasons was a recent news piece where parents did something horrible to their kids. That's vague enough that it should be safe to mention...)

All dogs go to heaven...”  I have no idea who said that or what movie it is a quote from.

But I will sign up to be the Divine Being that makes that happen. (Therefore benevolent)

(The more I learn about people the more convinced I am that dogs are a far more worthy species...)

God of Taste.

If you're a good person, your food will taste delicious, if you're a bad person your food will taste like the worst offal ever.

Leaving offerings of Bacon, Chocolate or your best recipe is mandatory.

God of Coffee.

As for whether or not I'd be benevolent? Depends on whether or not had my coffee yet.

Has it got something to do with FORTRAN?

No, more like the parent to Pascal.  But the language did not have any input or output.  That was left to the implementer.

And as for God, I would be Lord God of the Western Plains. Benevolent God except for the Black Hats of course.

Algol looks very readable as a C++/C#/VB guy. You can tell it had a lot of syntactical influence over modern languages.

Pretty advanced compared to COBOL, anyway, which looks to be about the same time period.

I'm not sure I could narrow it down, I have too many interests.  But it would look something like this:

Saturday, August 18: What is the most awkward thing that happens to you on a daily basis?

The target for my security tag at work is at waist level, so several times a day I do a little jig to hit the target with my wallet while it's still in my pocket.

I'd be the God of Laziness.

But doing anything with my awesome power would take too much effort.

Welcome to Getting to Know You, .February 2020 Edition.

The rules as they currently stand ( we all know most of you rebellious lot will ignore most of it, but one can try)

      1. Every day, or so (unless I am out or ill or something) I will post a question.
1.5. Should I be unable to post a question for the day a crack team of deputy quisitors, former quisitors, and random forum members are all chomping at the bit to step in and post one...
      2. In theory there is a 24 hour span to answer that question before the next question is posted.
2.5. (Rule 2 is the most frequently ignored rule.)
      3. Questions are going to be posted between 8:00 hours and 12:00 hours CET. ( Central European Time)
      4. Everyone is encouraged to suggest future questions to be posted via PM to me...
      5. You do not have to answer every question to play...
      6. If a question is TMI or N/A simply wait for the next question.. ..or post that you decline to answer (clues regarding why can be fun...unless TMI).
      7. Weekend questions will usually take the form of two or three day quests, starting on Friday or Saturday.
