A little birdy told me that the awesome painter helping to put it together is doing a "Savage" job... Good to know. Hopefully this means Reaper will be carrying the full line of CAV paints on their site soon, since it's the only way for international customers to get it (without resorting to a reshipping service). As for that little bird, I've heard her skill is legendary but @Wren is no savage! If it's Adam, aren't these a tad... Small in scale for what he's usually all over? Usually he's drooling over 4"+ size stuff Edit: oh, probably referring to Savage Coyote, I suspect.. Could decide to go a completely different direction. Personally I think it would be awesome to use the Warhawk/Starhawk V and some of the paints from this kickstarter. CAVBOSS has also said the LTPK will not be in the Kickstarter though, so that seems unlikely. The Dictator seems to be a very popular model for things like this.
Reaper User CAVBOSS Posted September 28, 2018 Author Reaper User Share Posted September 28, 2018 (edited) CAV KICKSTARTER 3 UPDATE: For those people looking to try out the game for the first time and are just not sure of what they need, we have put together a new Basic Training set as an Add-On option. This should give everyone the greatest flexibility in choosing what will work best for them if they are looking at the game for the first time! Possible options include: Option One: Choose the Rookie Pilot Option and pledge $25. This will allow you to start with the rulebook and by adding additional funds, whatever other miniatures, etc. you would like to add. Option Two: Choose the Rookie Pilot Option and pledge $50. This will allow you to start with the Basic Training Set add-on and by adding additional funds, whatever other miniatures, etc. you would like to add. Option Three: Choose the Ace Pilot Option and pledge $100. This will allow you to start with the Core Set Reward (miniatures only) and by adding additional funds, whatever other miniatures and add-ons you would like to add. Option Four: Choose the Dropship Pilot Option and pledge $125. This will allow you to start with the Core Set Reward (miniatures only) and give you an extra $25 to spend on any other miniatures and add-ons you want to select (like the rulebook add-on). Adding additional funds will allow even more choice, and with this pledge level you will also receive the Dropship special reward package. Option Five: The "I Just Can't Wait for the Rulebook" option. Go to talon(dot)games website and select the rulebook along with a squad of four figures that we will add for FREE. Purchases over $35 include FREE SHIPPING (US only). Edited September 28, 2018 by CAVBOSS
Club
There hasn't been much movement in the past few days, but there wasn't at this point in the last kickstarter either. We're actually ahead of where we were. I've got hope of getting those aircraft.

Yeah...these tend to be more of a slow burner as people wait to see what opens (which kinda defeats the purpose of pledging, but its just the way I guess). We have a lot of the more focused advertising starting on Monday, so my hope is to have the first SG by then to make it a better value. I wish we could get to the aircraft as well, there are 16 different models in that expansion total...that pales to the amount of terrain there is! I just have no idea what I'll be doing with them! Aside from the Wrongart hover and maybe the DropShip, those are the first things that have caught my interest in this run. The eagle-eyed may have noticed the Mamba changed from being a Hard vehicle to a Soft in the recent update. This mini is partly responsible. As for the Wrongart hover, I wonder if there's another vehicle very similar to the Charger...?

Reverend Shartan
I'm not interested in the models (don't hate the messenger), but I am interested in the paint. Is there an option for that? Reverend Shartan

Is there an option for that? Reverend Shartan Looks like they're running the Kickstarter similar to how Reaper did the Bones ones, in that pledge levels are predominately just an amount of money that will be available to use in the pledge manager that comes after the Kickstarter finishes. The only difference with this is the dropship pledge level, which includes a few extras alongside your pledge amount. If you are looking at just the paints, and none of the models, I'd say go for the $5 tier, and then set the pledge amount to $24. Shipping costs would be covered later on, once pledge manager opens. 1

So, as an example, you pledge $5, and as the paints are $12 per set, and there are two different sets, and assuming you want one of each, you would add $19 to your pledge. After the KS, when the pledge manager is made available, you would log into the PM, select the two paint sets, and then pay the shipping, and you're done.
