I'm not interested in the models (don't hate the messenger), but I am interested in the paint. Is there an option for that?

I think then you should buy two sets of both! ;)

CAV III KICKSTARTER UPDATE 30 SEPT, 2018! GHOST and CHARGER UNLOCKED!

With the new week starting I wanted us to be looking forward to a new stretch goal, so I have gone ahead and "unlocked" $38k, adding it to both your Core Reward Set with four updated Ghost CAVs and your Optional Rewards with the brand-new Charger APC!

Next up is the Templar Duelist and the Malvern Banshee at $46k. That's only $8k away so let's keep up with spreading the word and get through it quick!

The Charger is a really intriguing design.  Sort of like the weaponized hover police cars in The Fifth Element.

I thought it has a '50s Flash Gordon/Buck Rogers vibe to it. I really like how it turned out for a out of the box look.

First time I saw them, I thought they looked like slippers.

Not quite certain what to think of the most recent update, since I was really looking forward to the terrain options...  But I suspect my feelings are along the lines of "not all that impressed by such, and somewhat worried, wondering what else that's interesting might wind up getting the axe to try and get people to pledge more".

It was some rather nice looking scatter terrain, that would add into things a great deal AND make it more enticing to someone just getting into it all so they could have a nice board all set up.

Also not happy at the options of aircraft (and the teased upwards of 16 aircraft!) being totally taken out alongside the terrain either.

I understand your disappointment, but take a second and consider what you said vs realistic expectations. Getting one or two levels of either expansion does not help this KS overall and doesn't affect its overall value for your pledge. The Core Set remains the same and by decreasing the pledge levels, gives it a chance to add more models with no extra cost to the backer. We will come back later and focus on those expansions to give them a chance to get everything out there. Cutting them out is not an effort to get people to pledge more, it's an effort to get as many models as feasible within the overall funds that are pledged. We will not "axe" anything else.

I understand what you're doing CAVBOSS, but unfortunately, you dropped 90% of my interest in this KS.  I hope that for your sake I'm in the minority, and that you still do well.

I'm sorry. We hoped that adding these type of items would generate higher interest, but we haven't seen the crossover traffic to justify the funding goals to this point by leaving them in there. By removing them before they are reached, it allows us to focus on the CAVs and vehicles for now rather then add a few pieces that would be better served in a campaign focused just on them. The feedback so far has been more CAVs and vehicles, so that's what we are giving our backers going forward.

I want to say a lot more, but I'll just say this: a good portion of my interest was indeed that terrain and the aircraft, as it adds in additional dimensions for gameplay, and of course allows people to get a varied gameboard set up for all of it, with terrain that could also be used for a variety of other things.  It helped with adding in even more value to the core set, even if it meant spending more money in order to get precisely that.

It removed nothing of value. We were $52k away from opening the beginnings of those expansions. They were not as popular as I had hoped to drive up the overall funding in the early part of the campaign. I made the call to focus the remainder of the campaign on what I thought we could obtain realistically going forward. We will still do them, but as separate projects that I think we can get everything planned for them on the "table." As to being worried about what else gets cut, there is nothing to cut. We have CAVs, vehicles, and the dropship. As long as we keep hitting pledge levels we will keep adding them.

And yes, we do not have distribution in Canada yet. To be honest, the run up to this KS got in the way to get that finished up. Right after we are done this month we will finalize our distribution point in Canada and add that to our online store. Reaper will also begin listing product, as they ship internationally. EU and AU distribution will follow soon after.

I get it your mad/upset/disappointed/etc but I made the call for the greater benefit of the backers and I hope at some point you can except it at face value as to what it was/is.

Disappointed, yes. Not mad or upset. (My wallet is relieved, though). Much of my disappointment stems from not being able to personally justify spending money on more CAVs when what I wanted was aircraft.

I still want the Kickstarter to do well for you. As I mentioned before, I hope I'm in the minority, so that it will do well for you. Just felt I needed to speak up in case I'm not in the minority.

Would it have been feasible to scatter the terrain and aircraft among the other stretch goals instead of concentrating them at the back like that? I'm no expert on these things obviously, but it seems to me that if someone were interested in those, they'd be more likely to pledge early if those models seemed like a more attainable goal then way off in the back like that.

I imagine that the difficulty lies in the molds required to make the terrain and aircraft. You can't really 'split' the cost of the required mold for an aircraft between stretch goals, and if you simply add the mold to the stretch goal you still need to increase the cost of the stretch goal to make sure the mold cost is covered.

Than again, I may not know what I'm talking about . . . ::D:

Depending on where in the world you are, we will either ship to you from our hub in the UK (EU backers), China (Asia Pacific backers), Singapore (Singaporean backers), Canada (Canadian backers), Australia (Australia and New Zealand backers) or Atlanta (USA and the rest of the world). Following is a list of rough estimates for shipping a standard game package (4kg volumetric weight). Keep in mind these are just estimates, and costs may rise based on weight increases from unlocked stretch goals and any optional buys you choose.
USA: $10-$20 to most states. $50 to Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.  CANADA: $15-$30 to most cities.  LATIN AMERICA: $70-$80 to most countries.  ASIA: $10 to China, Hong Kong, and Singapore. $35 to most other countries (we can’t predict an estimate cost to Malaysia). OCEANIA: $20-$45 to Australia. $40 to New Zealand.  AFRICA: $95 to most countries.  EUROPE: $20-$30 to most countries.   • $35 to Norway, Switzerland, Finland, Estonia, and Latvia.   • $50 to Bosnia/Herzegowina, Croatia, and Iceland.   • $70-$80 to Israel, Liechtenstein, and Serbia.  • $90 to Belarus. Unfortunately, different import laws and customs have made it impossible for CMON to ship games to certain specific countries.

      About
The Edge: Dawnfall is new miniature Board Game by Awaken Realms for 1-4 players. It was created by Michał Oracz (man behind 13 years of Neuroshima Hex and recent hit Cry Havoc) and it brings next level of competitive gameplay to the table. Fresh, exciting, pure and rewarding.
It’s a living organism with a very passionate community. It’s thousands of hours of development, hundreds of unique art pieces, over hundreds of pages of rich and unique campaigns, 7 extremely asymmetric and unique factions and finally and most importantly a fast, dynamic and very exciting skirmish game with tons of cinematic skills and turn the tide moments.
This is a second Edge the Boadgame Kicstarter, a reprint of our naive 2016 kickstarter promise of an unreasonably high amount of content that not only we still managed to reach, but even overdeliver. It’s our biggest and most ambitious project yet, it’s our favorite child, our blood tears and sweat. It’s a Beast!

      Remember this thread?

You know, the Yedharo/GT project that was cancelled and they said they'd reluanch it?

      Well they relaunched it.

There's a lot less units this time and far more characters (some of whom appear to have been inspired by the Atlantis Dwarfs or are attempting to copy their success but with a Yedharo/GT spin on it).

I might jump in for a small handful of character models but I won't go in big on this one. Then again why would dwarfs go big? They're small. It's one of their defining features :).

'cause Atlantis did dwarven women with shaved sides and some goat riders......

      He's baaaaack!

      She got off the goat

      Hammer Man is back again

      Apparently she's really "Busty"

At least the leaping Trollslayer is back again :)

Mr Ugly Sword is back again (don't know why).

I like this new hammer man

The ugly rectangular shield unit with hammers is back (the only returning unit).
They really should've fixed those shields and the "3rd edition/Dragonpunk helmets".

The Bloodbowl team is back as well (obviously).
