Agreed, that terrain pack is downright gorgeous!   Love that it has three separate types of destroyed CAV, and the destroyed vehicles too.

Is $5 the absolute minimum pledge to get in on the pledge manager? Unfortunately, all this comes at a time when even five bucks is something I have to think seriously about before committing.

That's what I was told before.  I would love to pre-pay for core, unfortunately money is too tight atm.  Still waiting on confirmation about the terrain pack, but seeing that nothing is locked in until funds are used for things, it should be. 

 

Only thing you can't get in pledge manager without having signed up for it is the dropship tier bonuses, as they're unique to those who pledged in that $125+ pledge level. 

 

All I know is once I get my finances sorted out (which should hopefully be soon) my box is going to be a LOT bigger than just the two paint sets...

I have been telling this to a few of the people that are interested but not fully committed or those on a tight budget. Select at least the $5 pledge level to lock in your backer status and you can add more in the pledge manager. I explain that it wont help as much with unlocking stretch goals, but its better than nothing. I also have been telling them that if there's anything they know they can afford to add in then they can do the best of both worlds to help with stretch goals and get in the pledge manager!

Most of what I play are RPG's in 28mm scale, I'm curious how the terrain will work with miniatures at that scale.

Not to mention...  If you get in even at $5 you lock in Kickstarter pricing.  If you come in after the fact and non-Kickstarter backers have an increased price (like Bones 4 did) it could be a bit of a shock (example: bones 4 core for backers was $100, for late PM access it was $150 - no guarantees this is what will happen with CAV, as nothing of the sort has been mentioned, but it's still something to keep in mind, since a lot of places that allow late pledges have a bit of an extra cost that's in between Kickstarter and retail)

It looks like some of the storage tanks could work.  Maybe the wrecks could also be re-imagined.  

 

I think the field fortifications would be hard to use unless you have some very industrious kobolds...

Whoa! the kickstarter is trucking right long now! out of curiousity was there another marketing breakthrough today or are these all the people that have been waiting until the last minute finally jumping on board? i hate to look a gift horse in the mouth but im curious if anyone knows... especially as it applies to the next kickstarter.

KickTraq might be helping, looks like CAV is on the hotlist! no idea what kind of traffic that generates, but it cant be a bad thing. Sure would be nice to get a Kickstarter frontpage or something though ! ;)

Is the Shade's missile launcher intentionally shaped like a coffin?  I remember reading something similar about Robocop's gun which is why I noticed.
