CAV: Strike Ops III Kickstarter September 19th 2018

Recommended Posts

Seeing that swag pic reaaaally makes me wish I hadn't had to drop my pledge level down during Kickstarter >.>;;;;

And also, out of sheer curiosity @CAVBOSS, what CAV is that blueprint poster of, and is it something people can buy by chance?

@CAVBOSS can I request you to hold shipping my order until after Thanksgiving, I will be out of town and not home that week. I can't post on the KS page, so I am asking here.

That's actually an old Titanfall poster, but we have talked about doing one up for the dictator at some point.

To be honest, Im not even sure we have that capability with the way orders are pulled and handled. With almost 1000 of them going out, it gets a bit crazy. Your better option is to change to an alternate address in an email to me at the custserv(at)talon-games(dot)com as I can change that right now.

I will be asking the Post Office to hold our mail and hope it works. I am also going to ask a friend to drive by every couple of days to check. Thanks, fingers crossed!

Just notified that our box is on hold for an "agricultural exam" and a new expected delivery date of Nov 20th. This delay has not changed our intent to get out before the 27th.

I'd say that sounds bad...except that biosecurity is rather important, and I'm sure it's a random chance as to whether or not they get flagged for checking ;-)

My bet is something we shared the railcar with. We have cleared customs and the models are in Texas, but final delivery hasn't been scheduled yet.

See the source image

For CAV KS3 Backers, we currently have 53 outstanding invoices for shipping unpaid. Most of these have not been "viewed" so I'm assuming they are going into a junk folder or a spam catcher email address.
If you backed the KS and haven't received a shipping invoice to pay, you might ought to figure out what's up fast! It's not such a big deal for US backers down the road as shipping amounts wont change, but for the rest of the world with orders going out together, shipping later separately is pretty drastic. US International mail for a Core Set starts at $91 USD (with no duties or taxes prepaid).

The list of the following 17 backers have no order on file for us to send out shipping invoices or even know what they want to do with their rewards...

Wow, that's....  A few names to say the least.  I'm rather surprised.  Is this something that happens with all Kickstarters, where people don't even try to lock in a pledge? o_O

Yes. I had people ask for KS2 stuff 18 months later..and a couple of months back we had one show up from KS1. That was what, five years ago now? Hence why the disclaimer now as to when we cut bait and move on. Part of the problem is people use "spam" catcher emails for their accounts and then never check them. Whats worst is most of these are $150+ pledges.

Was just notified that our shipment is still being held for the agricultural exam, so no delivery tomorrow (the 20th) as hoped. With this getting into the back half of this week and Thanksgiving next week, looks like fulfillment will have to be moved to first week of December.

Sorry folks, I tried.

Two options going on here.

Either somebody took the work 'terrain' on the shipping manifest seriously or there's a bunch of Customs agents somewhere playing with tiny robots.

      Main Game ($80)

Expansion Box ($40, so $120 total)

We will ship your rewards at our cost to our international hubs. Depending on where in the world you are, we will either ship to you from our hub in the UK (EU backers), China (Asia Pacific backers), Singapore (Singaporean backers), Canada (Canadian backers), Australia (Australia and New Zealand backers) or Atlanta (USA and the rest of the world). Following is a list of rough estimates for shipping a standard game package (4kg volumetric weight). Keep in mind these are just estimates, and costs may rise based on weight increases from unlocked stretch goals and any optional buys you choose.
USA: $10-$20 to most states. $50 to Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.  CANADA: $15-$30 to most cities.  LATIN AMERICA: $70-$80 to most countries.  ASIA: $10 to China, Hong Kong, and Singapore. $35 to most other countries (we can’t predict an estimate cost to Malaysia). OCEANIA: $20-$45 to Australia. $40 to New Zealand.  AFRICA: $95 to most countries.  EUROPE: $20-$30 to most countries.   • $35 to Norway, Switzerland, Finland, Estonia, and Latvia.   • $50 to Bosnia/Herzegowina, Croatia, and Iceland.   • $70-$80 to Israel, Liechtenstein, and Serbia.  • $90 to Belarus. Unfortunately, different import laws and customs have made it impossible for CMON to ship games to certain specific countries.
*WE DO NOT SHIP TO:* Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Afghanistan.

      About
The Edge: Dawnfall is new miniature Board Game by Awaken Realms for 1-4 players. It was created by Michał Oracz (man behind 13 years of Neuroshima Hex and recent hit Cry Havoc) and it brings next level of competitive gameplay to the table. Fresh, exciting, pure and rewarding.
It’s a living organism with a very passionate community. It’s thousands of hours of development, hundreds of unique art pieces, over hundreds of pages of rich and unique campaigns, 7 extremely asymmetric and unique factions and finally and most importantly a fast, dynamic and very exciting skirmish game with tons of cinematic skills and turn the tide moments.
This is a second Edge the Boadgame Kicstarter, a reprint of our naive 2016 kickstarter promise of an unreasonably high amount of content that not only we still managed to reach, but even overdeliver. It’s our biggest and most ambitious project yet, it’s our favorite child, our blood tears and sweat. It’s a Beast!

      Remember this thread?

You know, the Yedharo/GT project that was cancelled and they said they'd reluanch it?

      Well they relaunched it.

There's a lot less units this time and far more characters (some of whom appear to have been inspired by the Atlantis Dwarfs or are attempting to copy their success but with a Yedharo/GT spin on it).

I might jump in for a small handful of character models but I won't go in big on this one. Then again why would dwarfs go big? They're small. It's one of their defining features :).

'cause Atlantis did dwarven women with shaved sides and some goat riders......

      He's baaaaack!

      She got off the goat

      Hammer Man is back again

      Apparently she's really "Busty"

At least the leaping Trollslayer is back again :)

Mr Ugly Sword is back again (don't know why).

I like this new hammer man

The ugly rectangular shield unit with hammers is back (the only returning unit).
They really should've fixed those shields and the "3rd edition/Dragonpunk helmets".

The Bloodbowl team is back as well (obviously).
