If the reaction from my younger coworkers the last few years is any example, they'll be trying to get me to shut up about the stories instead of telling them. Which of course will only get me to tell them louder.

They will ask me to tell them about those creatures of fantasy that once lived during my lifetime.

You know, the legendary Elephant, Rhino, Gorilla, Tiger, Whale etc...

I double checked: I am old. SO just review the questions asked here & you will see what stories the children ask for.

I figure if you are old, you should have stories to tell. Neighbor Tom, Cap'n John, & I exchange stories...we are all old though.

My childhood mostly, as all the stories I remember are funny near disasters.

I suspect they'd want to know stories as to why I want to chase them away, or why I shoot nerf darts at them if they get too close... 

 

Or why I'd run surround monitors when VR is "clearly" the superior way to game, without them realizing all tech has teething problems with the first generation...

My kids already as me about the rough old days of living on the farm in the 80s and 90s. You know before we had unlimited wifi internet, computers and tablets etc. The funniest for me is my younger sons attitude about before we moved to town 4 years ago. He's 12 and he talks about his life on the farm as if it was a different century.

*When* I'm old? (Woohoo, I'm a youthful 47 year old!)

 

In the days of old, TV viewing felt worthwhile, even if screens were less 20 inches or less. Saturday morning cartoons were a sacred tradition. After that, we went outside without risking cancer causing sunburns, only regular sunburns. No Internet yet, so paper books and magazines were our sources of information. If you had an electronic toy, it would go through batteries like you wouldn't believe. When you had a hobby, you committed to it!
