Hmmm: ichthyosaurus, meganeura, Machairodontinae, alicorn. One of those.

Oh, no. Wait.

Definitely the Red-tailed Hawk.

::P:

none of those are dinosaurs.  at least in traditional taxonomy,  it has to walk on the ground.

then again there appears to be conflict among scientists.   Some want to include all birds as dinosaurs.

Really? I'm pretty sure an alicorn (at least) is a dinosaur. And machairodontinae definitely walked on the ground.

:B):

It's possible that you could have missed a joke there. Not sayin'; just sayin'.

I have a lot of dinosaurs that I like, brontosaurus, anklosaurus, tricerotops, but my favorites have always been the aquatics. Ammonites, crinoids, trilobites and colecanths are at the top of my list. My favorite individual fossil is the tylosaurus on display at the KU natural history museum. I'm pretty sure that was the one I got to help clean and prep for display in high school when I shadowed one of their paleontologists.

Not a dinosaur fan.

If I had to pick one, it would probably be the triceratops.  (That's still a "real" dinosaur, right?)

Loved dinosaurs as a kid. Stegosaurus was probably my favourite but there's lots of close runner ups like triceratops, albertasaurus, ankylosaurus and others. Don't pay a lot of attention to dinosaur related things any more other than watching shows like walking with dinosaurs.

You could be referring to Little Red or to the not quite smart enough smart phone...

 #confused

Thanks to the Sinclair Gasoline Company (purveyors of the finest hollow green plastic dinosaurs) favorite is/was Triceratops

(This guy will forever be associated in my childhood memory with Sinclair no matter what the internet might say.)

Dinos are cool but I went for the rocks, unlike my paleo friends (they even have dino tattoos).

Uhh... Hadrosaurids. They're named for my parent's hometown. @pcktlnt would approve - many are duck-billed. They're funny looking.

My mom's favorite, and arguably good CO favorite, is triceratops. The Rockies baseball team's mascot is a triceratops.

A dino related thing... this elasmosaur got installed in the atrium of the main geology building. Another reason Canada is cool. The tail is about 4 floors up, and the head is just over a person on 1st floor by a few feet.

Yes.

All of them.

I tend to agree with this wise Wolf!

However if I really need to pick one, it will be a shared first place between Stegosaurus and Spinosaurus.

I like any of the ones that walk on big chicken legs. They are scary looking, and yet I can't help but think that they probably would taste amazing if cooked...

I don't really decorate my home, didn't get that skill from my mom (who people beg to be an interior decorator). So most of what passes for decoration is stuff I've drawn or painted, hanging on the walls.

It was. I will never forget it. Years later I met his wife at a Star Trek club and got invited to a couple of their Scifi Sunday's. They invited all of their college professor friends, including professional writers, for Sunday brunch. I learned so much from those discussions. The world is smaller than any of us know and any connection can make a big difference even years later.
