So... who's ready for ReaperCon 2019?

Foundry Miniatures has quite a nice range of Old West figures of a variety of types. Old Glory 25s has a less-nice but much cheaper range of figures. (Those are both in the 25-30mm range.)

There are many companies that do larger scale figures or busts.

Frozen Ninja is about to kickstart a couple of larger scale sci-fi old west models. I bought their cowgirl model in ~30mm this weekend to proxy into shadows of brimstone (board game).

And yes... while this was our first RC, we are planning next yr already.

Not only am I ready to start planning and preparing, my wife [non-nerd and not-a-painter] is already talking about painting and entering next year!::)::wub:

If anyone can point me in the right direction for cowboy minis, any size [in addition to the ones Reaper makes] I would appreciate the pointers.  We're going to be carefully going over the Reaper Catalog for suitable subject matter in the next few weeks.

GEM

Reaper has a boxed set with several of their Wild West-ish miniatures in metal, 10035: Cowboys & Gunslingers.  Some of the metal miniatures are also available in Bones.  Look under Chronoscope.

This is correct, I confirmed it with Adrienne herself that Reaper signed a 2-year contract with this place.

I haven't even left and I'm already excited for next year! I've started planning a second class to teach next year: "Big Monsters Aren't So Scary!" :bday:

Huzzah!

Anyone suggest good bust painting tutorials?

I would check Scale75’s web presence. Guessing they host some good ones or have links to some good ones.

It is a very nice place. And maybe by next year the yo-yos in charge of building roads will connect it to some of them. <_<

I need to go. Next year will mark ten years since I first heard Reapercon was a thing, and I should at least celebrate the anniversary.

That, and my presence at work is certainly appreciated... treasured, even... but I need to hammer it through my thick head that the place can indeed function without me. Perhaps even to the point of taking an extra day, so I can attend the forumites dinner, instead of bailing during the auction.

Well, today is Labor Day, so you could use that as the travel day and wouldn’t need to bail, with all the attendant headaches that involves.

I would LOVE to come next year but… August again? I don't know if I could survive Texas in August. I had a hard enough time with the heat in April.

Not to mention it's the same month as Gen Con which makes my wallet ache worse than a Bones Kickstarter.
