No, I am not ready for Reapercon.

I finally figured out what I want to paint, but I can't find it. I just spent 2 hours digging through boxes to no avail.

I'm almost ready to give up and buy another one.....

I discovered that I'm all out of brushes.  This is why I'm not in charge of logistics.

I'm good for brushes, paint, glue and every other conceivable supply; I'm even excited to paint the figure.

I just need to find the darn thing.

ETA---I got 75% of what I wanted for classes. Of course, my #1 want is the one I didn't get.

Hopefully there won't be too many of you I need to shank in order to get one of the last two seats.

I signed up for this on Thursday.  My only class, actually.  I didn't want to take spaces away from people who want to learn stuff, since I don't really care too much about learning stuff.  But since I've never taken a class, I figured 90 minutes with a knife and some random body parts ought to keep me out of trouble.

Don't worry, I'll be there to help.

Yeah... entries...

I seem to do very well with my 3D printed creations. I just have to, oh, design, print, spackel, sand, prime, and paint 15 or so inch tall robots.

Pleaaaaanty of time.

Think I’ll start the week before the con.

I, uh...recently found my intended ReaperCon entry.

I'd put it in a Safe Place.

<_<

Well, you're one up on me, then. I think i put the figure I'm looking for in a safe place, too. Now if I could just remember where that place is....

Oh, sure. Make it easy for yourself.

I have a hotel reservation, tickets and 4 classes each for hubby & I.  Considering that I only bought passes today, I think I managed to do alright.  I'm about ready to commit unmentionable atrocities to GrowTix, though.

Think I'll save the battle for plane tickets for another day.  :zombie:

I'm always ready to do that. :grr: I think the only reason things didn't go horribly wrong for me this year was because I remembered how horribly wrong it went last year, and did whatever I could to mitigate it this year (watching the video instructions, reading the instructions others posted, logging out/in when classes went live). Still horrendously user-unfriendly though.

Nah, see, you aren't REALLY getting the con experience unless you drag your 3D printer along with you and are frantically trying to get the thing to work the night before your entry is due.

If you found it, it wasn't in The Safe Place™.

Does it count if I'd been looking for it for a few months?

Or that it wasn't in the same Safe Place as the other super important thing I needed to find?

I have too many Safe Places; I need to go back to my "Random piles of stuff" organizational method. Sure it's super messy, but at least I can  find everything.

I seriously considered doing that last year. Luckily, my printer is pretty bullet proof so I would actually be able to get things done.

I'd considered trying to teach a class on designing, printing, and prepping 3D models with the printer running fresh prints in class, but since I'm much more vehicle oriented rather than organic figures, something that's not very Reaper-ish and terrain would nearly be in direct competition with several vendors, I'm not sure it would be a good idea.
