Chaoswolf 106205 Report post Posted August 26 My understanding id that you should print them, @EvilCleric. 4 hours ago, Jeepnewbie said: Arrrrgh! Got about an hour away and had to turn back. Didn’t forget anything, wife wanted me to leave out after tonight’s scout meeting. They forgot I wasn’t going to be there tonight. Gonna be leaving stupid early in the morning. Debating on driving straight through, or take the scenic route and arrive Wednesday in the late afternoon. Either way, just be safe and make sure you're well rested. 4 minutes ago, buglips*the*goblin said: I think I only printed my class ticket, so I'll have to QR my VIP on my phone. It's listed as two different orders so I though choosing print one code for all products combined everything. But maybe... not ? I dunno. I just know I hate this growtix system because every step of it is a confusing uphill fight. Agree.
Doug Sundseth 53232 Report post Posted August 26 Prep Class minis. Paint and base example mini. Write and print class notes. Pack clothes for the outdoor sauna that is Denton in August. Finish at least one real entry for the painting contest (maybe). (I'll probably enter an Ed sculpt and an ordnance mini that I painted a while ago, but those are kind of not real entries.) Change oil. Fill the car with gas. Buy trip snacks. Print QR codes. (Printed the three codes from the page noted in my reg. confirmation. Hope those are the ones I need.) Select subset of miniatures stuff to bring. I definitely don't need all the paints* and supplies, but I'm not looking forward to picking out which are my favorites. Get my camera gear together, including the stuff needed for bird photography and the photography class. Decide on which poor choice of time to leave for Denton. Cheryl has to work tomorrow, so we can't leave until she gets home. And we want to be in Denton by mid-afternoon. So we can leave at 6-ish and get to Denton too early to get a room for several hours (or stop at a hotel for a few hours of sleep, but only a very few hours of sleep), leave at around midnight after a short nap (maybe) and get to Denton at a reasonable time, or leave at 0230(!) after a longer nap and get to Denton around 4:30. These all kind of suck. * A sentiment never before seen on these boards.

Good to know that now, since I am getting on the road in the morning. I have a huge stack of stuff I have printed, but not seeing anything with a QR number on it. Got to look again. Nice to know that people putting out information take it for granted that everyone watches Reaper live :( The QR thing is the strange jumble of a square. You should be good to go!

envyem 52 Report post Posted August 27 Well, having only heard about ReaperCon ~4 weeks ago, I feel like I'm scrambling to pack! Is there anything that I absolutely must bring with me from good ol' Seattle that would make things better/easier/more enjoyable while there? Of course I'll be bringing brushes for classes, but anything else folks recommend? Looking forward to see everyone this week! -n

I love trips to and through Utah. * Possibly equaled by Colorado and/or Oregon.
Sylverthorne 20278 Report post Posted August 27 Mr. Thorne got a few pics, no idea if any of them are useful. I was passenger for all the really boring bits, but I did get a couple of shots that weren't terrible. Ish.
GHarris 604 Report post Posted August 27 My wife and I arrived Saturday night. We've been doing touristy stuff and looking at the housing market.....but on the way to dinner we saw the room getting set up as well as a room full of goodie bags so it's starting to feel real! The hotel is still wonderful, and now there is an IHOP and a cool bowling place (think snazzy Brunswick Zone) next door. Woo-hoo! It was 96-99 degrees yesterday depending on which thermometer you looked at. It was hot but not quite as bad as a 90ish degree day near the Great Lakes. "Dry heat" is a thing!
Cygnwulf 2753 Report post Posted August 27 So I spent tonight finishing up the repairs to Mrs Wulf's car so I can trust shell be able to get around when I take one up to Denton for the weekend, and tidying the garage so there's no heavy lifting needed to get to the breaker panel, then doing the base for my Bombshell mini and completely neglected to do any packing whatsoever. So tomorrow's going to be the stressful last minute packing things
