Well that's easy as I plan on visiting EVERYTHING.

Note: If your ultra-busy & don't have time for the vendors like I was a few years ago (ran 3 4 hours We be goblin (1 thru 3) games one day & other games the entire weekend (roughly 26 hrs of rpgs)....errr yah) but you can also buy the vendor mini if needed. As I've done the rounds the last couple years, it's more satisfying to visit them thou.

Yeah, hobby tools packed. I'll need to buy a brush or two at the Con, but...

Okay, I think everything is packed except the cookies. I'm sure I'm forgetting something.

I've actually developed a lot of family-related uncertainty.

I may wind up making a last minute go/no-go decision no more than 24 hours before my flight is scheduled.

So... the bad news is that I had to pay a bunch of money to reschedule my flight to arrive really late on Wednesday, but the good news is that I do get to go to ReaperCon; I just won't be at the meet'n'greet.

@Pegazus: If I'm on the Bingo card, you might have to make me a free space for Wednesday night.

Alright, I have my zombie dragon, anklyosaurus vs raptor diorama, and my stegosaurus sculpt in my carry on with my tablet and snacks

my carry on suitcase has my 3 class temple dragon samples, my Open category dragon bust, my hopefully well cushioned darksword dragon and my blacktooth terror.

i've got brushes, sculpting tools, a bit of green stuff, my little sketchbook, pewter for the melt bin, a small travel thing of vaseline for sculpting with because i had a lot of trouble last year with nothing, so i think i'm set.

We saw outside air tems as high as 108 F coming across today

Yesterday was the hottest day of  summer 2019, so far.

Last night, a batch of thunderstorms ginned up out of nowhere — location: just south of Oklahoma City, more or less parallel to Interstate 40. These then headed south looking for Interstate 30.

(This is the batch of storms that messed with @OneBoot ‘s flight.)

Houses were wrecked in various places in Oklahoma. The whole line swept thru Denton Dallas Fort Worth Arlington anywhere between 6 and 8 am. They did find I-30 ! ::D:

Result weatherwise is that today will be the second or third coldest summer day of any summer since records have been kept. Just one day after the hottest day of the current summer.

NB: watching TV weather guys try to forecast all this is hilarious.

Had a large storm system sweep through starting in the early AM.  It announced its coming and presence with much loud booming and flashing of sky lights.  But it also dropped the temps a good 10 degrees+.  High in Denton today was only about 88.

I added some detail while you were posting.

@Crowley  this coolth will not last. You can expect being par-boiled at some point.

Of course.

From Cats Perspective [the only one that really counts] the "Staff" is going on strike.

I have seen the One Boot!

Tho One Boot sighting occured in the Convention Center while she was scurying about getting her area of Artists Row set up [along with several other of the Gods of Miniature Painting and Sculpting].

Reaper, or the hotel seems better organized this year.

Welcome Signs are already up and the room is basically set up and what appears from a quick look to be a much better layout than last year [which was pretty good for the first time at a new facility].

Footnote:

Had to take one of the remote controls down to the front desk this morning because the batteries pooped out.  While there I was presented with our Hotel Welcome Gifts, and a special memento that I will leave as a surprise for those yet to check in.

You Will Be Pleased [and possibly Amazed].

So are you taking the basic "Paint your cat" class or the advanced course?

I forget which one supplies the disinfectant and which one has the catnip.

Looks like the DFW area is predicted to be relatively cool this weekend. Temps in the mid 80's to mid 90's, with cloudy or partly cloudy skies.

We have finished prepping the car. Kitchen sink is scrubbed. We launch in ~12 hours.   Guess I better finish that mini.

Any pictures from those of you already on site?

Arrived.  Brought a pile of K-Cups thinking we'd have a Keurig in the room, but the coffeemaker uses the teabag-looking pods and not K-cups..  A search for more pods proved fruitless, so we solved the issue by buying a coffeemaker at wal-mart.  This is my travel coffeemaker now.
