Welcome, new forum friends!

Hello! I joined the forums after ReaperCon and meeting so many wonderful people. I can't guarantee that I met anyone in particular, but I do remember meeting several of you. Bingo definitely helped with that. I added my picture to the thread in ReaperCon for the recognition photos (I can't remember what it's called) so that people have a face for next year. I feel like I'm introducing myself in a lot of different threads, but this one is for saying hi, so I don't feel too bad.

I was actively recruiting folks to the forum at ReaperCon, and since I've already noticed some new faces I thought I'd make a thread to say: Welcome welcome! We're glad you could join us!

So I’m not exactly *new* but this account is, and I haven’t posted anything under the old accounts in over a year so I thought I’d reintroduce myself    I’m Bryan Stiltz (yes, I’m cool with

Welcome to the Forum!

  • Texts in purple are meant as a joke/ironic.
  • We love seeing painted minis so show us!
  • If you have painted a nude mini you need to link it instead of posting the pics directly.
  • HAVE FUN!

I’m Bryan Stiltz (yes, I’m cool with sharing my last name, it’s been all over this website since 2002). I have been Reaperbryan, Doctor Wyrm, and About 7 Ninjas at various times but those accounts are gone or I forgot the login details.  I am a former Reaper employee, having left in 2017. I’m currently unemployed, making ends meet with commission painting and Uber driving. I have a YouTube channel and I’m more active on Facebook than anything but I’m going to try to return to this community again in what free time I can find.

Looking forward to seeing all of you again!

Hi, Bryan - I think my kids and I karaoke’d Bo Rhap while mini painting with you at Reapercon!  Here’s a still of the awesome air guitar battle with my boy (is there a way to embed inline?).

My name is Ruben, btw.  I started painting minis about 6 months ago, and dragged my wife, 2 kids, and our dog Penelope to Reapercon from Houston on a lark.  I assumed they’d be looking for things to do in Denton while dad geeks out for a few days.  Now they’re all hooked and we apparently know what we’re going to be doing for Labor Day for a while.  :-)

I just joined the forum after the Con, and may start posting some of my mediocre minis as a I try to get good enough to submit something I won’t be embarrassed of next year.

This looks like an amazing community!  I haven’t been active on forums in a long time, but this seems like a very welcoming and positive place I look forward to spending some time in.

You probably met my wife Cindy (Tapatum). I was doing the usual gamer thing and hiding from popular masses by rolling dice ::D:

Its a great place to be and a good place to meet others with similar interests.  don't be nervous about posting your creations here, you can be assured only of constructive criticism and then only if you specifically ask for it.  This group does one of the best jobs out there of being positive and supportive.  Welcome to the forums!

Hi rubegon! I was up on stage for Bohemian Rhapsody! I remember the air guitar!

Hi Tapetum - thanks for picking such a great song!  The kids love it and were really excited to get up there and sing along.  That moment was probably the highlight of the whole Con for me.::D:

Hello Fans, Fanatics and Folks of Reaper.

Long overdue for a "hello and well-met" post from me.

The spawn got the mister and I back into mini-painting when a friend showed her his collection of Age of Sigmar goodies and invited her to play D&D. My first experience with minis was late 80s, stealing my brother's model airplane Testors paints and crudely mangling a metal mini with basic colours whilst killing a few brain cells with the fumes. Then early 90s, going in and staring heart-shaped-googly-eyed at the 40k at our nearest Warhammer store. The mister and I met in EverQuest back in '99 and have been partaking in a variety of nerdy pastimes together over the intervening years. I've been gaming (off and on, consoles & PC) since learning to beat aforementioned brother in various Pong clones on a Magnavox Odyssey 400.

This community is amazingly helpful and kind and knowledgeable and full of wit. I'm grateful to the kid for getting us back into the world of miniatures; it's proven to be a wonderfully rewarding hobby to share with those you love.

Now, if only we could find more time to paint. *stares at the box of unopened Reaper goodness with longing*

Nice to "meet" you all and cheers. *holds up her pint*

Hi. My name is Heather.

I have recently started painting miniatures again. I currently have a few, yeah, just a few:poke:, unpainted miniatures sitting on my shelf of shame that I am working through.

Hope everyone is having a great day.
