Today my girl and me will go on a little vacation.

Brutus will stay with the Vixens.

This morning he threw up a little, and to my surprise there was a piece of bandage in it.

The stuff he ate about two and a half weeks ago?

He had passed most of it back then in a nr. 2 and it seems there was still something there.

I figure it's all gone now and if there's still some there that he's able to pass it one way or the other.

During the last weeks he has shown no signs of trouble and his nr. 2's look alright.

He eats, plays and does his things a usual.

If there will be a problem we can come back since it's a 2 hour drive ( 3 if traffic is very busy).

So basically he eats well, plays well, does his nr. 2 well.

I'm more at ease that he passed it this way, it doesn't lead to obstruction, it's just that I hadn't expect this after two and a half week.

I was under the impression that it was already all gone.

Thoughts anyone?

Two weeks?

Wow.

So long as he's acting normal, though, that's the main thing!

He's still alright and "acting normal" as far as a Boxer can act normal that is..

Here oldest vixen has icecream, she already gave him some icecubes ( between his paws) but...that icecream looks waaayyy better..

We are fortunate in that we don't have to smell that delicious looking food that you post, whereas, Brutus not only has to smell the food, but he has to be tortured by watching you eat it as well and I bet he doesn't even get the appropriate portion size that he feels he deserves.

If I was being tortured like that, I would also be lying against the cabinet to prevent you from getting to some of your toys.

Either he really likes to guard my CD collection or he wants to make sure I can't reach the Death Metal....

He's on hardwood, so the daily challenge today is to be able to slide him out of the way of the CDs without disturbing him (waking him is acceptable, as long as he doesn't leave his position).

As a matter a fact Brutus loves to play with a rope and he let's himself being towed through the house.

He lays down on his side and loves that game

Trip to the Vet this afternoon..

Brutus tore his thumbnail ( upper left paw) complete off when racing through the garden trying to chase something last wednesday.

It bled and I took care of it, but last night he expressed pain when  he laid down and somehow put pressure on it.

I inspected the toe and it looks like there is a bit of inflammation going on.

Better have it checked out.
