Always attack a sprinkler/hose or watering can!

Brutus likes to work on his tan a bit, but I keep telling him to sleep in the shadow or inside.

So far it works well

Yesterday I needed to inspect the roof and patch a few spots on the roof with the skylights.

 

Brutus decided to help by guarding the roofing material.

Maybe if he got more time he would have applied it himself...at least that's the way he looks at me.

The owner of Sjaantje ( female Boxer dog) had to let her go, 12 yrs old.

Now they got a new girl, Marie, 5 yrs old ( the former owner used her to breed and he's a good guy so after a few nests he wanted to give her a good home).

 

Brutus likes her a lot.

To me it's a bit of a shock to see how big Brutus actually is.

Both Sjaantje and Marie are about half his size.

I know males are bigger, but I thought Sjaantje was just a small girl, turns out Brutus is a big guy.

We have this little seat at the back in the garden, Brutus has his own spot of course.

Give him some Gatorade when it's so hot out. The K9 officers I worked with did that often for their fur-missiles.

Brutus only drinks water, but when it's hot he often gets a chilled apple or icecubes and sometimes a small popsicle.

Watemelon is also appreciated.

Friend of mine who had to say goodbye to his 12yr old Boxer is now getting a new pup.

 

 

 

In the meanwhile Brutus is unaware of this
