Gloomhaven Scenario 1 - Miniatures are property of Cephalofair Games Gloomhaven Scenario 1 - Miniatures are property of Cephalofair Games

3d printable hex tiles, perfectly compatible with Gloomhaven or any RPG, as well as Shadespire and other hex based games by scaling up the tiles.

Adventuring in multiple universes often takes us to fantastic places, 3d printing has made it possible to bring the worlds from our imaginations to the table. There are already many systems which create fantastic dungeons, caverns, towns and forests; however all of these systems use square based grids. Squares are very good for some things, making a rectangular room is easier to imagine than adding walls to a hex grid, however this set has a new way to make easy walls while also taking the many advantages of a hex grid which are:

  • No diagonal movement - fair and more natural movement
  • 1 hex based module - more configurations and more possible builds
  • Adjacency - No diagonal attacks, every slot available to attackers is clear
  • Natural Formations - Hexes present a more natural shape so they adapt better to natural formations
  • Irregular Rooms - whenever there is a skew wall squares tend to have too much unused space, with hex grids you can do walls in every 8 directions with our wall system.
  • Easier Spells - some spells have a much easier way to calculate the appropriate area of effect.

These are only some of the advantages, if you want to convert to hex d20SRD has some other pointers.

This set uses Printable Scenery's Openlock design. Their design is well known and has been open from the get-go, this has let a ton of people grow the community and make some incredible designs. If you like this set please visit their page to look at what they have. I am also working on a solution to make the sets more compatible and have some connection tiles, go from squares to hexes!

Texture Sets

This campaign has 4 base sets, and one trap and decoration bundle, Most of the sets include at least 1 tile per available frame, one wall per wall length and a column. Most have more options that will be listed below.

Looks neat.  I wonder how long it would take to print a decent sized dungeon...

Depends on your printer.

I backed the last Axolote KS, which was a large campaign with a lot of extra material unlocked, and the files comes out on a regular schedule as promised.:winkthumbs:

Now if my KS printer/scanner/laser cutter would just get here.:bday:

The hex grid system looks like a worthwhile addition, particularly for outdoor adventures with encounters that could get "interesting" and require accurate figure placement to visualize and resolve.

OK, what just happened?

Tried to fix the strikethrough but it won't budge.

New campaign with focus on 3d hex dungeons, we are funded, but there are still plenty of Stretch Goals to break. This set is also completely compatible with Gloomhaven and can be scaled up to be used with Shadespire.

Fun little piece. I attempted to paint it in the style of Costa Rican coffee wagons.  It was a real challenge, given the irregularities of the wheel surface.  I wish it had a donkey, goat or ox to pull it.

It will stand upright by itself on some surfaces, but I stuck a block under it to stabilize during photography.

This could be more exciting, but it's not.  I chose this as a test piece before I tackle Dragons Don't Share II.  Nice piece, it came together in a jiffy. I'm trying to copy the local limestone, and didn't quite get there with this, but it's a starting point.

Anthropomorphic animals are not really my cup of tea, but these look nicely done.  I imagine someone here will be interested.

I skipped on the last gnome one, but the whimsical fancifulness of this one has got me hooked.

      A message from Secret Weapon:

      Big news time everyone!
As many of our pledgers know, we need to adjust the Kickstarter - On the positive, we have a good amount of backers and we know that MANY of you are waiting to up your pledges. We have had a really positive response to the product itself, and lots of interest on the customer and retail side. We deeply appreciate this and your support.
BUT - we have a good amount of backers who are opting to wait on their $1 pledge. This is entirely our fault. We caused this when we locked our core offering behind stretch goals. There is no single item that is core. ALL the options are core. We made it so that many of you had to wait around to buy what you already knew they wanted.
That's a big boo boo, but it was made with the best of intentions. The system was set up so that there was no mandatory amount, and you added what you wanted and nothing more. We thought that this was better for the customer, but it quickly became obvious the vast majority of backers want jump-in points at set amounts like a usual KS... and weren't entirely sure about a pledge manager that was open during the campaign.
So, what are we going to do to fix this for you?
We are going to close the campaign, and relaunch it next week. That sucks and it's embarrassing. But ultimately everything else that happens is great for EVERYONE, because this is what happens next:
1.) ALL themes will be shown and unlocked right off the bat. If you want Urban Streets or Infinity, you just go get it, no hoops or delays to choosing what you want. You also know exactly what is on offer.
2.) There will be pledge levels: $50(+), $100(+) and $200(+). The 100 dollar + level will include a set of 3 weathering pigments (really really good ones too - Burning Sands, Dark Earth, and Rust Orange), and the 200 dollar + level will be the pigment set, and a set of 3 genuinely awesome paints. Secret Weapon's Rubber Highlight, Rubber and Tire Black, our most popular colors! At the end of the campaign you will use the Pledge Manager, as usual, to make whatever specific choices you want based on your KS pledge. The Pledge Manger will be available during the campaign for those that would like help figuring out a total pledge level, but that is optional, and you can wait until the end of the campaign to sign up.
3.) Each of the $50(+), $100(+) and $200(+) pledge levels will have 3 shipping zone options
      Americas, Europe (NOT UK)
      AU, NZ, Asia, Pacific
      United Kingdom (NOT Europe)
4.) Any extra themes that are developed during the course of the KS will be added immediately, no stretch, we just give you the option as soon as it is available.
There will be 17 themes live at the time of launch, which doesn't count the licensed product from Corvus Belli and CMON Zombiecide.
