blefuscu
Hello - i was wondering if someone knows the exact size of this spider? i'm guessing by the price it's quite hefty. still, it's a lot cheaper than the shelob box set (which is my intended use, but it's ridiculously expensive and i already have too many samwise's from other LOTR sets). Thanks!
Morgramen
I love to hate spiders, so I grabbed this bad boy as soon as I saw him. Sorry, I don't have a digi cam, so no comparison pics. It's likely a good deal smaller than Shelob though (haven't actually seen her in the real yet). I'd say that the thing is about as "long" as a standard 25 mm mini, and about waist height on a Warlord mini. A grand mini though, and I highly recommended it. I think I'll paint her up as a balck widow personally.
gloria_invictus
you want shelob? check out this alternative: http://www.heresyminiatures.com/images/pages/hm010.htm
TKD
Mograman, can you measure that sucker with a ruler? I have a hard time visualing compared to a 25mm mini. Especially because my so called "25mm minis" are all 20mm, 25mm, 28mm, 30mm, 32mm....:)

blefuscu
Morgramen, gloria invictus, ixminis - Thanks for the info! i guess the reaper spider is a big small for a shelob, but the heresy one looks promising.
Painfully
Now if I can just talk my FLGS into restocking more Heresy minis.
TKD
ixminis - thanks, that helps a lot. And that Heresy spider looks really cool. But for *really* big spiders, children's toys and Halloween props are probably better. Take that from someone who is planning on using a McFarlane King Kong as a "miniature." Bill_Adcock
Aw man, I love the McFarlane Kong! That company makes the best action figures. I think the Heresy Spider is great...Though perhaps it would be cruel of me to sneak it into my sister's bedroom while she's asleep.
Decado
The Hersey mini is my suggestion for an alternative Shelob mini as well. A friend and I are thinking about painting up a slew of miniatures that can be used in a classic dungeon crawl adventure and that is the spider I plan on using. I have also started a rather lengthy list of Reaper minis that I need to get for the collection. Decado
