thelonegoldfish
I was confused as to the difference between agrax earthshade and nuln oil. I don’t deal in GW stuff too much. So I took some zenithal primed mummies and put it on. Left is nuln, right earthshade. I think the left one is pretty much good. I’ll probably take the bunch and dry brush some linen white on them and give them red eyes. 6

As I understand it, Agrax Earthshade is a dark brown color and Nuln Oil is black.
thelonegoldfish
Well yes... but I didn't know how black/brown. And now I do.
Ducknuck84
I think both look good but the brown one has a more aged look that i feel bandages would have after years in a tomb. but the null oil one pops a bit more. maybe try a wash of both? so you get the pop of the nul and the old look of the bandages with the Agrax
NOLA Chris
I agree with washes of both, I do that on my Ork buggies etc and on lots of my bones figs for RPG :)
Blake
For what it is worth I like the Earthshade a bit better. The bandages have that weathered, crusty, stuck in a sarcophagus feel to them. Again, both look great. Just a noob's personal preference.
Nightwing
Maybe you could even use the washes strategically. Nuln over all, then agrax to make dirty patches or sections on the parts that would be more exposed to dirt and rot.
MojoBob
I quite often use a 50/50 mix of the two. Pure Nuln Oil is too stark and cartoonish, pure Agrax Earthshade is too brown and warm. The combination of the two gives me the darkness I want, with a touch of colour. Alternately, I'll do an overall wash with Agrax and then come back in with Nuln in selected areas to pump up specific shadow regions.
