Scale75 - The Chronicles of Run

Hmm, I locked in the middle of Dec so I wouldn't know if that was late or not.

Kickstarter comments mentioned that they were going by complexity of the order for fulfillment, easiest first. I'm guessing that means those with more stuff go later. I locked in pretty swiftly when the pledge manager came out, if I recall right.

I had a fairly large order, so I figure that I'll be towards the end as usual.

Hey there everyone. My parcel arrived here today in England. The little bun on top of 35mm Lisbeth's head has broken off in the post but I should hopefully be able to reattach it without too much trouble.

I got a message through the local postie app that I have a package coming from Spain. No other notification, I'm assuming it's for this. To be honest I forgot they were shipping.

So the following was posted in the comments 9 days ago:

[EN] Hi all. As we said, shipping of all pledges will be finished this week. We are about 85% of shipping. Thank you for your patience.

There is still no "official" word that they have completed shipping of rewards. The only thing they have really been discussing lately is sending an email to a specific email address if there are missing/damaged items.

Not trying to take anything away from those that have problems with their reward, but I think they need to also be putting more effort into getting the shipping completed.

I guess Reaper has just spoiled me way to much with the way they handled their shipping.

Mine arrived yesterday. All good except that they sent a dwarf arm instead of a succubus arm. Hopefully that can be fixed up.

Sigh...........Still waiting. Hope it's not going to be like Dragon Masters (still waiting for this) or Elder Forge where its going to take at least a month to get through the postal systems.

They emailed back that they'll send a new Loreen arm. I guess I get to paint Broin's arm as just an arm with a sword? Time for some big NMM practice, I suppose. What category does just an arm and weapon fit into?

I started prepping Lizbeth; I need to figure out some strategy for her, I think.

Painting practice.

You might want to paint one or two pieces separately before gluing them together. Did you opt for the painting guide? It covers her quite heavily. I know the book was titled painting with brushes and airbrushes but it's basically an airbrush tutorial book with hand painting only used for fine details, edge highlighting, and things like eyeballs. That being said there's some really in depth advice for things like how skin reflects the things around it (so skin next to green cloth will look different to the same skin next to blue cloth and how to work that in to the painting to the skin to complement the surrounding areas). In Lisbeth's case they not only go into detail on painting the light from the flame on her skin but also on painting the reflections of the flame in her eyes.

It's a really good read even if I don't own an airbrush. It's basically miniature painting porn. No doubt about it.

EDIT: This kickstarter is now Live:
      https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/cmon/zombicide-invader

"Humans came to PK-L7 in search of high powered fuel. They found it with Xenium, a dark, oily compound deep below the planet’s surface. But they found something else too. The Xenos attack was brutal and unrelenting, and they’re still coming. On April 10 at 3pm EST, Zombicide: Invader is coming to Kickstarter. Follow the CMON and Guillotine Games Facebook pages for regular updates on the Survivors, Xenos, Equipment, and Environments of this interstellar battle for life, and look for our interview with the Zombicide: Invader design team later this week. Grab a weapon, barricade the doors, and prepare to be invaded."

Zombicide:Invader is a cooperative game where 1 to 6 players face Xenos, an unfathomable swarm of infected Xenos controlled by the game itself. Each player takes on the role of 1 to 6 Survivors in a sci-fi setting being overwhelmed by these Xenos. The goal is simple: choose a Mission, complete its objectives, kill as many Xenos as possible, and (most importantly) survive!

Survivors will fight Xenos, rescue each other, recover vital data, unveil dark secrets, and much more! Survivors can be Civilians or Soldiers, each with specialized Skills. They all play together as a team, trading Equipment, and covering each other. They use whatever weapons they can get to kill Xenos and slow the invasion. The better the weapon, the higher the body count, but the more Xenos will appear, attracted by the onslaught! Survivors must also be mindful of their location as conventional weapons work fine indoors, but the planet’s oxygen-starved surface, they’ll need to arm themselves with more specialized weaponry… Lasers, anyone?

Most of the time, Xenos are predictable, but there are a lot of them and they use nasty tactics not encountered in previous Zombicidegames. Only through cooperation can players achieve the Mission objectives and win."

I haven't backed a CMoN kickstarter in a awhile, but I think this one might tempt me depending on what the minis and gameplay are like.
